We eliminated Chelsea, CSKA Moscow (ok), Barcelona in the knockouts and beat Bayern Munich in the final. Chelsea, Bayern and Barca were all champions in their leagues that season with Barca defenders of the CL title.

Wtf are you talking about?

What did we do after that. The team played way way above expectations and potential. Won games we would have lost 99% of the time.

You don’t have to agree but we went to shit and those teams continue to get to the final.

There are very obvious factors as to why. Mourinho leaving and not replacing our aging squad were huge, just as well as poorly replacing Mourinho was. Then Sneijder, Milito, Samuel, get injured.

Explain how Eto'o had an amazing season post-treble based on what you're saying.

Inter treble yr was full of superstars, coming off a several yr winning streak in italy, defenders age like wine and they were legends in the field, one of the best playmakers in football with Sneijder, an all around superstar in Eto and a clinical finisher in Milito

i say our only weak spots were thiago motta when he played and pandev who i perfered Balo

It wasn’t that we got lucky in 2010, but that our team was noticeably worse the following year:

For one thing, Benitez had no idea how to utilise the squad.

Julio Cesar started making more mistakes. Lucio turned crap, Maicon started declining.

Sneijder was much worse (and playing as a CM under Benitez). Motta was injured for ages. I remember a CL game where we had Obi and Nwako? starting

Milito did nothing in 2011. Ballo left for city.

The old senators aged another year.

Cambiasso and Samuel kept their class and Eto’o cranked up his game, but apart from that, our aging team started to crack.

You guys act like I am not an inter fan but that was our end game moment. Our magic season that alot of shit went our way. Then a pretty dark period after that where we gave long contract to players way past their prime and pretty much killed this club.

Milito for one played out of his fking mind that season. He pulled a Kao ken Goku where he uses his life force and totally destroys his body to win. Agree or not I think most of those games we played again we would have lost. Some of you want to remember that team like we had a 19 year old Messi and a in Prime Ronaldinho who cared on the team.

Milito did nothing because he was off form and injured. Go check Milito numbers in 11/12 when he didn't have Eto'o anymore and he was having good numbers again

Tuchel had 10M£ salary with the new contract. Its almost impossible to go after him with our instant noodle finances.

Bring fkn Bielsa to slap our bitches.

Short term solution...

we need to try and finish top 4 and hope the new Owners are here by the summer. At that point do a massive clear out starting with the coach. He is not going to get us any titles but is good enough to get us into champions league.

Is it though?

It feels like it's not built at all. We have no depth for a 3 man defense.

I'd advocate that our best plan is to start a back 4 with Gosens, Bastoni, Skriniar and Dumfries and a diamond formation.

And it'll still be inadequate.
---Lautaro----Lukaku---

------Hakan---

Asllani---Brozovic---Barella

Gosens--Bastoni--Skriniar--Dumfries

I want Bielsa
To win nothing? Because the guy is an expert in that! Plus he's unhinged AF. The guy will rage quit after the club not supporting him. And his playstyle is very demanding phyaically. The team will be dead before the end of season.

For some reasons he's an interesting name for many fans, but in reality he'll be a terrible choice for Inter. There's a reason no big club ever go after him.

yes he is an amazing coach, all the top clubs drool over the chance of having him at the helm

Is Momblano reliable? There's a report about Inter contacting Stankovic.
