A fairly strange thing is apparently after happening. Inter are now denying that they had even made a bid for belhanda. given that the announcement of an accepted bid had come from Monpellier directly, well this does seem like Inter may have done a very sharp U- turn.

What news are we going to hear later/ have Liverpool suddenly given up the chase? With money being so tight at Inter at the moment, you'd certainly have to wonder what has happened.
we'll get jaime valdes instead of lodi, bellomo, belhanda or paulinho :yao2:

ughhhh just fucking play cou strama, enough of this shit. fucking benitez gave him more play time when eto'o and sneijder were first team players, than all the other coaches combined

youth project youth project, then we get palacio, cassano, rocchi, mudingayi, now we're in talks for cannavaro.

dont get me wrong I like some of those players but where is the youth part?

have you heard that life begins at forty?
that's why we bought 30+ players

Now I'm getting worried...this is a joke right? Why the fuck would we sell a 20 year old prospect when we have the oldest team in Serie A?!!?!

Wtf are you talking about dude? Inter didn't do a U-turn. They just didn't made an offer for Belhanda. As CafeCordoba said, Montpellier president was bluffing to stir up the price. That or the Turkish paper who wrote this 'Belhanda 14 million story' made it up. Wouldn't be too surprised about that either if it's a paper who mainly support Galatasaray.

Been saying for weeks we don't need Coutinho.

We don't need these tiny weakling playmakers in our team, we're trying to transform into a team with good physicality, something like Mancio's midfield in 06/07.

Consider our next midfielder more or less another prototype of Guarin or Gargano, but hopefully with better passing than the latter.

What is with the attitude? have you got some kind of problem?

either way my little moron, if you need it spelled out to you, WTF I am on about would be that usually when a president of a club announces that an agreement has been reached with another club about the sale of one of their stars, it tends to be true. If CafeCordoba is correct then brilliant. I never said he was wrong and didn't mention it since. . . but obviously I was asking to be talked to like that and I offer the most humble of apologies.

No no NO!

Coutinho stays! Selling him would be one of the stupidest decisions the management could make.

Haha take it easy. Wasn't my intention to sound like I have something against you. Just found you're post a bit weird since it was know some hours ago that this Montpellier president was bluffing. And then you come talking about some sort of U-turn like Inter is the one who's bluffing instead. Most clubs that post a statement on their official site denying a transfer aren't bluffing you know. Anyway, no hard feelings:)

We had Figo back then to save the day occasionally, so it wasn't that bad...but we don't really have anyone left equivalent to him in the squad at the moment.

----------Stankovic
-Zanetti-Cambiasso-Vieira?

It's not directly comparable, but at least Guarin is an upgrade over Stankovic lol.

That team was more like FC Adriano and FC Ibrahimovic. I had hoped the days where we relied on one player were gone..

Just want to reiterate. Before Liverpool came along...we were all speaking the same language here. Which was, if we aren't going to play the kid...SELL HIM.

If Coutinho was getting faith and being given playing time, do you think we would be in this situation?

For his sake...for our sake...no point letting him rot. We don't want to ruin another young career. Let him go to a coach that actually WANTS to play some decent football. A coach who has the ball to reward players like Coutinho.

According to inter.it stats, Coutinho has been on the bench for 4 times and 7 times he's been subbed in Serie A this season. From uefa.com, he was never in the bench in EL, he always started when available. It's not like Strama has benched the kid for the whole season, he's just hasn't been available that much.

Like said, injuries more or less has ruined Coutinho's first part of this season.

Definitely. 19 games, 10 starts, is not that bad considering he had numerous small injuries. Especially that broken foot in Partizans game ruined him :palm:

Fuck Europa League, stop acting like it's big news that he was starting those games. Considering the players that started those games.

He should be broken in like Juan.

Juan 1350 minutes in Serie A, Coutinho 308 minutes. 11 times he was an unused sub. That is almost 1000 minutes of potential playing time that Strama did not give him.

Out of the 10 Serie A appearances only 3 were starts. 7 as a sub. 7!!

If Strama deems him surplus to requirements, then fucking sell him.

Honestly i don't want him to leave(yes I'm selfish) but our beloved Strama does not like creative players so it is better for him to leave and play under his ex coach who appreciates him...
