Kovacic was a good sale, but I definitely wouldn't say the same about coutinho's... We got around 15 million euros, including the small percentage on the fee Barcelona paid to Liverpool

Neymars ridiculous 222 mil € transfer to PSG falsified both Coutinho's and Dembeles tranfer fees.

Inter sold Coutinho for too cheap but he wasn't going to brake into Inter's line up after Benitez left.

Well, most people look to move to the upper echelon, it's human's nature.

Those who look back and wished they would rather be at the lower echelon, they deserve to be there.

Yes, I know Liverpool has just beaten Barca to the final.

i'm against this kind of philosophy, when it comes to football. unless you mean just the money, then ok, i understand it, but still i can't fathom how and why for a guy who is already stinking rich should be so important to become a bit richer.

money aside, i don't rate barcelona more than liverpool or us. for that matter, i don't even rate barcelona more than lecce, cause to lecce supporters lecce is the most important team.

he was one of the stars of an important team, to me insisting on moving to barcelona was nothing more than a whim, which backfired.

maybe i'm old school, but to me the king makes the throne, not the other way around: you don't become more important because you go to barcelona, you should count on your qualities to make your team the most important there is.

I'm pass on Coutinho. He seems too soft for Serie A. Have a feeling he might flop here again. Teams like Liverpool, Barca, PSG, Manchester City suit him more than Inter because in these teams he surrounds by a lot of technical players and pressure is less imo. In Inter he has to be a midfield leader and I doubt he can be the one.

Just curious what do you mean by "too soft for Serie A"? I assume you don't mean the physical aspect given EPL is much "harder" in that sense. Or do you mean struggling with less space although I'm not sure that has anything to do with being soft.

Serie A is a harsher league. You get kicked more, have less space and more defenders on you etc. The physical aspects of the PL are mostly being able to run over longer amounts of time, stamina etc. It's not like the difference is vast, but there is one.

For example Eden Hazard gets kicked the most in England, far from number two.
Berardi on the other hand isn't the most fouled player in Italy and gets fouled pretty much at the same rate. And we also have the tendency that fouls do not get called as much which may skew this, but when you see the types of players that get fouled the most in Italy you will see the difference. I think Dzemaili and Hetemaj are amongst the highest fouled players.

The French league for example is a better example here as it requires more physical strength (ie the Italian medicine) and more stamina (ie the English medicine). They run and get kicked the the most :D

I forget who it was, but when the topic of Griezmann to Barcelona was a big deal last year, there was the logic of that, if he stayed at Atletico, he could go down as a legend for the club, whereas if he went to Barcelona, as good as he may be, he would never be more than "just another guy" by that club's historical standards.

Pretty much the same applies here. Although, frankly, the players Liverpool was able to buy from Coutinho's transfer fee made that club a lot better than they had been with him. He did the club a lot of good in his time there, but, in retrospect, they don't miss him at all.

If Barcelona actually managed to get Griezmann instead of Coutinho, this CL final would look a lot differently IMO.

speaking of griezmann, there are rumours barcelona is willing to pay the release clause. who knows, if that happens, then maybe atleti would go for icardi.

Yes, you are old school, and absurd.

If you can’t see Barcelona being a more important team than Lecce, you gotta check your brain. What Lecce supporters think have nothing to do with what Coutinho thinks when he’s making decision for his career.

This is so absurd that I’m not even gonna bother explaining.

When you resort to insulting, and to saying that you don't even bother to reply, that's exactly the case when you don't have anything to reply.

There is no such thing as a .ore important team. Unless you mean under an economic point of view, in which case then we have objective parameters.

But I don't expect the likes of you to understand people like Gigi Riva, It would really be asking too much from you.

Firmino, you're not wrong here about the importance aspect but the thing is that the vast majority of people will take a decision based on money over anything else. And no matter how much one has, he will always want more.

That would be fantastic.

Only problem is Wanda can't leave Italy because of her kids.
