Have a nice day,

I expected Zieliński to have a MUCH greater impact.

He was a star at Napoli, scoring plenty of goals. But here now, he’s basically just a passenger. He doesn't seem to be ruining things, but he's not showing the level of play he had at Napoli.

Well, that happens often when you are from a get go benched in a big club. He didnt even get a real chance to shine.

He was star in their title-winning season, but Napoli fans were already complaining about his decline and lack of effort when we signed him.

Bad for him personally, and you can't help but always feel bad for players when this happens to them, but for Inter it doesnt change a thing. His involvement was... umm, wasn't 😶‍🌫️😀

What? Zielinski is (mostly) a flop, Sensi was injury prone, but had a lot more to show in his first season than Zielinski showed so far.

Maybe cause he was a starter before injuries? Zielenski is most of the time sub player to Mhiki who is mediocre at best, this season.

Zielinski had a game in CL where he really bossed. Cant remember against who it was and he does show really good technique and passing. Its what was expected from him but I was still expecting way more creativity. He does not show it all that often and his overall impact has been lower than expected.
I compared him with Sensi also looking at his injury stats. Lots and lots of muscle injuries. At this point he just looks unreliable overall.

Even if you want to consider him a flop (very harsh at this stage imo) it’s still a big loss for the team. He’s one of the few players we have who can comfortably hold the ball and recirculate possession. This is a very important trait. Asllani will have to step up big and in a hurry because he’s the only one who can come off the bench and do it in theory.

He's a good player. If he got a run of games he'd be much better. His quality isnt questionable on the ball. Inzagho just has him chained to the bench.

I think "flop" has a completely different meaning for people. I rate a player as flop when he screws up constantly and you are feeling the effects of him constantly screwing up. I would rate Frattesi as a flop at this point taking into account what was invested in him vs what we got in return (he cant even be trusted as 6th choice midfielder in a 3 man midfield). Zielinski is not a flop in my book just a player which did not (yet) justified investment. Taremi is pretty much between Zielinski and Frattesi, on the way to being a flop.

I don't understand how you can consider Taremi anything but a flop. He's a forward who is invisible in every match he plays and does not score goals. He's less valuable than Correa.

Taremi had a fairly good start and helped build up play quite a bit. Everyone was praising that and his work rate. We were expecting goals to follow but instead he started to fade once the team as a whole started to fatique. I do think he is really low on confidence since he cant even control a ball properly now. He has like 3 or 4 starts in serie A and maybe 6 in CL. His impact was fairly low but cant really blame lack of results on him.

It seemed odd that Inzaghi took his time introducing Zielinski, but when he did play in the CL game at Man City he was excellent. Oddly that has been his best game to date for me. He seemed a canny acquisition in adding a more technical player who could play between the lines and link with attack. but while he has not been in anyway a bad signing like Taremi, his performances (when available) have been oddly colourless.

His general level so far has mirrored Pavard for me - in no way a liability, but not someone who has moved the needle to any degree. I see Paz as a player who would be brought in for that particular position and I wonder if that's in part because there is no faith that Zielinski can be good or reliable enough to be the long-term Miki replacement.

To think Zielinski is a good replacement for Mhki without changing the way we operate is a bit weird.
Yea they can both carry the ball, but when they carry the ball is extremely different, for Mhki, his most irreplaceable trait so far is his judgement when to drive the ball upwards without needing to take on or beating a defender (even he does that from time to time) that can progress the play and positions, obviously where and how he received the ball also plays a role. That above is quite essential to how we play.

Zielinski is not a natural player for that, but he is good for many other things, such as keeping possession in tight space or under pressing, long shots, tougher on duels etc. basically works better for a more centralized role with wingers. Less drifting to channels or space.

in short, you get into position when Mhki makes some progressive carry; and you run into attacking space when Zielinski makes a breakthrough for passing.

On a very brief glance it makes sense why we are after Nico Paz, but I haven't watched him enough to be sure.

Just my 2 cents.

It always has been:

Barella / Z
Mikhi / Frattesi

No idea why Limone makes Barella-Frattesi when they have nothing in common.
