What a clutch and defensive game it was against Atalanta on Monday.

Some interesting statistics from this game:

- Skriniar dropped in consistency from 0,95 to 0,94 because his high individual game score is inconsistent compared to his high average! Though... he only dropped by one point and the high score raised his season average by quite a bit.
- Both 1st and 2nd half take the 14th spot out of 36 games this season... with there being a 0,70 score difference between the two (5,92 and 6,62). Second half FC by FAR!

I suppose you mean in the overall season ratings? The season averages? (5th to last post.)

Because for this specific game de Vrij and Brozo scored higher!

I think defensive efforts are always down played in victories where scoring and assists are over valued. That is human nature and you don't get bonus points for losing especially 1-0, If the defense fails generally the blame falls on the goalie probably disproportionately. Moreover, as the number of games an individual plays increase the chances to advance in rank by average are more problematic unless the individual gives a series of superhuman performaces and those around him, rank wise, are abysmal or below average during the same period.
Watch Eriksen's number drop or rise based on his future performance with less samples (17) to get an idea and see how they change compare to Brozovic and Bastoni both in the 30s.

Yup, meant overall in the season. I like Hakimi a lot, but if he plays on the same level next season (hypotetically if Inter gained the same amount of points), I bet those ratings would gradually go down. We love that he has an impact, but I expect him and Martinez to work on some of their worst aspects, because they also have negative impacts on the team .

As already mentioned partially by Ethor, it unfortunately has to do with positional play. Hakimi is heavily involved in attack. De Vrij is the covering defender of our 3 defenders (meaning he stays back the most) and Brozovic is the deep-lying midfielder.

They do not tend to be flashy, as they don't need to be. This usually ends up in lower averages compared to for example Hakimi.

This is why I prefer to analyze the data in multiple ways. If you look at the consistency graph for example:

You can see that de Vrij has a consistency of 86%, Brozovic of 76% and Hakimi of 72%. They're both more consistent. In the visualisation you'll also see that currently de Vrij is in the optimal green area, while Hakimi just misses it.

So your judgments are not wrong
