Ibra taketh, Ibra giveth.
In a game that was pretty much anyone's to take, Ibra unleashes a great shot that most strikers would miss. Surely, Kolarov breaking the offside trap and failing to block the shot are major mistakes. But over the years we have seen what kind of player Ibra really is. A 1% shot, is a 10% shot for him. The further away, the better.
This, however, is not an ode to this player. The same player that takes phenomenal shots at the age of 39, proves to not be a trustworthy leader for the Rossoneri. Rather than carrying his team through the game, he decides on approaching Romelu Lukaku with remarks that are at least extremely questionable. And after coming "mentally victorious" out of that clash, he ends up being the one to pick up the red for the most unnecessary midfield tackle from behind. The same Kolarov that might have put us at a deficit, smiles grinningly while Ibra leaves the field with his head in his chest.
This Ibra guy is not a leader. He's a man who cares for nothing but himself. Team leaders would not leave their team behind like that - let alone trying to provoke opposing players in nonsensical ways.
The Nerazzurri were victorious in this Derby della Madonnina, and I'm sure many of you are already looking forward to the next.
