Wijdal doesn’t convince me really. Okey-ish player, and would do good at Ajax i think. But he doesn’t strike me as a wingback.

I would suggest one of my favourite young player: Brian Brobbey of Leipzig now. Played at Ajax until last summer, he left Ajax because Haller came and he didn't play much. Although he scored some good goals againt Lille for example. He is strong, fast, relativity good technique and he can play with his back to the goal. He needs to work on his fitness because he can't play 90 min full but this guy is some gem imo. He is a much better version of Lukaku. This guy is 20 and the defenders in the Eredivisie just bounce of him when they try to take him on.

He didn't play much at Leipzig but when he returned to Ajax he scored 7 goals in 11 matches. He scored winning goals and he kept Haller on the bench several times in the second half of the season. He is a rough diamond, but a diamond he is. Leipzig is asking 15M for him, that's a lot of money but I think he is worth it. I'd rather take a gamble on him for 15M than any transfer fee + players for Scamacca.

True and we never know if he will reach that level. But I said it wrong. I meant to say with better version is that his technique, tactical awareness and positioning is much better than Lukaku.

I wonder if Ajax wants to pay 15M for a player they let go last summer for free. It all depends on what the new coach wants.
