James rodriguez is looking to play again in europe. He's still 30 years old and i think he can offer inter something with his creativity and skill set. Would like to see how he played in serie a.

Would be good challenge to hakan / barella position

he is always injured and doesn't give 2 shits anymore. Everton fk'd up letting him go but his wages are crazy.

He is going to MLS or mid table Spanish club. Would be funny if he goes back to Real Madrid since their coach fking loves him more than a grand father loves his grand kids

How is it possible that mid table spanish club can afford his salary but we can't?

I think there's room for negotiating lower salary considering his age and his current motivation to play back in europe. He's quite injury prone similar to dybala though but can still be good squad player.

We don't really have quality backups or competition for hakan and barella so when they play badly, we are dead.

If we can negotiate well, i think he could be good for inter especially when competing in CL

He is going to west ham potentially. Think they want him to retire from the NT which I don’t think he will be called our best players are wingers and he just doesn’t make sense in a system where you play fast wingers.

I think he will want to
Start where he goes and that won’t be here.

Unless we play a different formation I don’t think he works

He isn’t fast enough nor the stamina to play in Persics position.

Just doesn’t have the stamina or discipline to be Barella’s back up.

He really works best in a formation or 3 attacking players and being in the middle then drifting to the left.

even though we dont lack play making at the moment
taking in calculation barella/hakan/korea/perisici playmaking numbers

BUT, in closed games
he will create oppourtunities
and in worst case scenario he will open gaps/create space
and improve the counter attack

he doesnt look bright nor he is famous
but this guy has a potential of being a fake debrune/xavi
at least if he gets the proper development he can make a 10 goals /season and 15/assists

sadly, inter hates techincal/fast paced players
he will shine with inzaghi
and will make lautaro scores more.

Him, Raspadori, and Berardi managed to destroy us at Meazza last February.

For me he doesn’t have the work rate for a midfield role. Would only work in the support striker position.

I’m a Dumfries fan but if we’re being honest he hasn’t always been great offensively, despite some important goals. I would love to see us make a move for a player like this, should be relatively cheap, still just 21. He is owned by Bordeaux, never really broke through there but was looked good every time I’ve watch Cagliari. Oh and he actually has legitimate pace, which is something we lost on the flanks when we sold Hakimi.

In an ideal world we sign someone like this to compete with Dumfries (I like Molina too) then Darmian essentially becomes a squad player like D’Ambrosio.

I'm no Rangers (or Celtic) fan but have watched the two cup finals Rangers have been involved in this week, they have Nigerian LB/CB called Calvin Bassey - the lad looks mighty impressive, after just 2 games I expect a stonking future ahead.

I am not against a Dumfries upgrade but there are so many gaps in the squad that it certainly can't be a priority right now.

If Man U going to give us 35 million + and we can make money plus a potentially better option.

Just remember we can’t be champions with Darmian as a starter haha

If you could get him in form, he could really kill in this league. Speed kills here, see Leao, and we have none of it.

But, I don't think we could get him in form or afford to take that gamble.
We also rarely sign players from abroad.

One of Marotta's weaknesses. Too focused on paying market premiums for mediocre "Serie A experienced" trash.

I'm not saying we should haphazardly shell out for Dalbert's and Lazaro's but there's a lot of affordable talent abroad which we need to do better in taking advantage of. More Dumfries', less Vidal's and Gagliardini's.

Milan for example have made plenty of shrewd signings from abroad. Kalulu for just 1m, Maignan for just 15m. They've also secured Adli for a low fee and he looks like an interesting player.

But no, we prefer to chase the likes of Bernardeschi and Acerbi.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware that purchasing within Italy is more likely to provide us with certain assistances. For example, Marotta's relationships with club officials is often leveraged to help us save money by structuring deals in a favorable loan + obligation format. We can also include certain gentlemen's agreements and plusvalenza-generating trades with young players - something that foreign clubs are less likely to accept.

Ultimately though, it's all irrelevant if you're structuring a favorable deal for a mediocre bumfuck of a player. Irrespective of our finances, it's not an acceptable excuse anymore. Even with our finances being in this abominable state, there are still bargains if we do our due diligence. Additionally, I think the Marotta effect is overrated anyhow. We still always end up paying full price for these fucking cunts anyway. Or at best, we go from a 20m transfer to an 18m + 2m bonuses transfer (which is great, but not when you spend 9 weeks on the deal and neglect other deals).

We need to be more creative and less reliant on talent within Italy. If we were presented with the chance to sign Maignan for 15m, we would prefer to sign fucking Cragno for 20m. Between a young, unproven talent like Kalulu for 1m and an old-as-fuck, mediocre twat like Acerbi for 8m, we're taking Acerbi. You all know this is true.

Dumfries, Perisic, Lazaro, Dalbert, Kodogbia off the top of my head.

Of our squad that started today against Sampdoria, four players (Dumfries, Perisic, Martinez, and Brozovic) were not signed from other Serie A clubs. One of them was signed since Marotta started working here.

Yep we'll have at least one game in which Bastoni, Dimarco, Perisic, Gosens and Kostic all start together, with Cambiaso coming off the bench.
