haha I know its crazy, but if he did, would you no longer support Inter?

I would follow a saying that says: guilty until proven innocent.
I would hate the fact that he was coach, but definitely would not stop cheering for my team

IT amazes me how may people world wide are tipping Spain to win it lol Unless ADIDAS & FIFA have already decided that Spain will win it...Else there is no way on mother earth Spain is winning a major trophy, let alone the world cup! They will choke and fold as only they (and Cote D'Ivoire) know how to! I was actually at the Bellagio yesterday with a friend, I dont bet but he was trying to bet Spain & England...I told him, I will bet you $1G neither of those 2 make the semis...
Potential winners-Brazil (I actually believe Brazil will become the 1st in the modern game to defend a WC title-coz I see them winning 2010 & defending it in Rio!!!!
Dark horses: Italy and 1 other that will really shock every one (i wont name them till the big day ;)

Chile and Uruguay have decent squads. I'm not saying they could win it, but they could do damage to many teams

I say either Spain or Holland.

Anyone else thinks Italy has absolutely no chance of winning the WC? Judging by the squad called up by Lippi, the Italia squad is nowhere near any of the top sides in Europe. Generally just too old a squad, with little creativity upfront. Gattuso called, but no De Rossi. Lippi should man up and call Cassano up, no matter what happened between them.

I hope for Argentina. It's been too long.

Italy is my team too. So Go Azzuri!

Most probably Spain though, their lineup is incredible. I won't rule out England with Capello guiding them.

I'm backing England to make the final. Even though Argentina have a great squad, Maradonna is not a great coach - which might count against them? Brazil have to be up there, especially if you look at the fact they have experienced players, quality players and most importantly in form players...such as the Inter trio of Julio Cesar, Lucio and Maicon who are all having absolute blinders of a season? Finally we all know how great Julio Cesar is at saving penalties, at the WC that should be a huge bonus?

dark horse: ivory coast to the semi-finals, ghana to the quarter finals, north korea to win one match, france or germany knocked out in the first round!

Looks like Löw has picked his squad and fortunately, for them, Marin is included...There is a renewed emphasis on the young stars of the German game as Kroos was also called up.

If he ends up playing them, I think it could really help the Germans chances in SA

some interesting statistics you might take in consideration:
1 - no European nation ever won a world cup outside of Europe: the situation is different for the South American countries: Brazil was - among the non European Countries - the first and only Nation to win in Europe (58), in Central America (70), in North America (94), in Asia (2002): so now it only misses Africa and Oceania (Or Australia, whenever it will happen).
2 - Since 1930, European and South American nations alternate each other with the victory: the exceptions were in 1934-1938(Italy) and 1958-1962 (Brazil). But otherwise, there is an amazing alternation.

It the trend is kept, I think we will see a South American Nation lift the cup.

You must take into account most of the world cups outside europe were played in quite hot conditions which favored the south american teams.

This time the conditions will be mild to coldish much more suitable for european teams.

absolutely agree with you.

well, thinking twice, maybe this isn't a key element. Some examples:

In 1930, Uruguay (winner Uruguay) the weather wasn't warm at all. In June and July it is winter in Uruguay
in 1950, Brazil (winner Uruguay): same as above, although the temperature would not go lower than 15 degrees
in 1958, Sweden (winner Brazil): in Sweden it isn't as warm as in Spain, Italy
in 1962, Chile (winner Brazil): also, it's winter in Chile
in 1978, Argentina (winner Argentina): it was also cold

I've lived in South America for five years: I assure you it can get chilly, there

Just joking, It would be nice.

Dat zal ik zeker doen. :)

But now it is the time for the Netherlands to win it. With our attacking power we can achieve a lot.
