Around 70 points are usually enough but we also have the case of Napoli who finished 5th with 77 points in the season we won Scudetto.

I checked that

Last 11 years:
Median: 70 points
Average: 69 points

But then

Last 5 years:
Median: 72 points
Average: 73 points

For curiosity, last 3 years while it's a bit pointless with so small sample size
Last 3 years (70, 78, 78):
Median: 78 points
Average: 75 points

It's been getting a bit over 70p in recent years. Let's see if the trend continues, although Juve got that 70p last season.

Doesn't look too good. We managed to settle the Napoli case but then threw all that away with the Monza debacle. We really can't afford these.

Curious detail:

Away matches goals conceded 20 in 9 games. 2.22 per match (though one away match was 3 conceded against Milan which was obv in Meazza)
Home matches goals conceded: 4 in 8 games. 0.5 per match

Absolutely insane difference. Two silver linings are this should be fixable with some mental things.

Second one is we have one more home game than away game left haha.

This season we are on a course to end 1st half with 1D 5L. To get the same points as last season we can go 5D 1L. I think that's doable. 86 points as per topic would be quite good from this point on given the 1st half.

Our only difficult (on paper) away games for the 2nd half of the season are Roma and Napoli. Then there are some tricky fixtures like Verona, Bologna and Torino away. But if we're serious about getting the best of the remainder of the season, we should win all home games, including the derbies, and maximize our away performance which has been shit.

86 points would be phenomenal considering the frankly psychotic manner in which our results have been swinging. If Inzaghi could show that level of consistency, I'd almost be keen to continue with him.
