Terrible, terrible stuff. We've almost wasted our budget (and we gonna lose it completely in Turin). I don't see much hope, this thing has turned upside down in few weeks.

So let's check Serie A schedule till the end of the season.

Milan 63 points: Cagliari (A), Bologna (H), Torino (A), Genoa (H), Lazio (A), Fiorentina (H), Verona (A), Atalanta (H), Sassuolo (A)

Napoli 60 points: Udinese (H), Atalanta (A), Fiorentina (H), Roma (H), Empoli (A), Sassuolo (H), Torino (A), Genoa (H), Spezia (A)

Inter* 59 points: Fiorentina (H), Juventus (A), Verona (H), Spezia (A), Roma (H), Bologna* (A), Udinese (A), Empoli (H), Cagliari (A), Sampdoria (H)

Juventus 56 points: Salernitana (H), Inter (H), Cagliari (A), Bologna (H), Sassuolo (A), Venezia (H), Genoa (A), Lazio (H), Fiorentina (A)

I believe there will be hiccups from Milan and Napoli. Not so sure about Juventus which is the one i am worried about the most. Problem is i have no confidence in Inter going into a winning run in the remaining matches.

Feels like a nice place to have this post.

You get what you pay, you pay Dzeko, you get this ..

We are just lucky Perisic and Hakan perform in first part of the season, so we get maximum points.

Brozovic and Skriniar absolute beast all times, cover us from bigger crisis.

We are not winning the title. We have fucked up. The only way we can get it is we go on a 5-7 match winning streak, and that isn't happening.

Fortunately top 4 doesn't look in doubt, yet.

Only hope is that Napoli wins the Scudetto, and not Milan or Juve. But you know, they will choke as well.

I think we should also factor in the psychological impact of losing to Juventus in Turin.

Mentally, the team is already struggling. Losing in Turin would have ramifications for the games thereafter in a similar way to our loss against Milan in Serie A Derby.

Right now, there are too many factors that are against us and our present form does not do much to inspire confidence in the way we are playing.

We needed at least a five point buffer going into the game against Juventus and we totally fucked things up.

There are so many posts on here saying that Milan does not have the experience and they will inevitably drop points between now and the end of the season. That may be the case but Inter still being in the equation at that time is based on Inter executing and winning games while Milan stumbles. And to date, based on the matches that have passed and present form, there is absolutely no indication that we are capable of stringing together a run of results.

I will be happy if we reach top 4 in the end. Thats how we suck right now.
Top 4 finish is more or less guaranteed. Distance from Atalanta and Roma is at 11 points. Distance from Lazio is 10 points but we have a game in hand. None of them is consistent enough to cover the distance in the remaining 9 matches. We could bring Zenga today and he would still manage to finish in top 4. Finish 4th could be considered a success in the summer but not anymore with the way season progressed. Even after our terrible run we're potentially just 1 point behind first place and the only tough match we have left is the away match against Juve. Inter should be able to fight for Scudetto till the last match of the season. Finishing 4th when you're so close to the top in March is a failure.

Of course its a failure after succesfull first half of season. Thats why I dont understand why they're gonna renew Limone's contract.

Yeah, it's def a failure.

But, one idea is, did we over-perform in the first part of the season? Expectations rose too high maybe? Now we are perhaps reversing down to the mean which makes the Scudetto battle so much harder.

I must agree with Inzaghi when he said few weeks ago that him and the team made the Scudetto challenge possible. That the initial target was top4 + CL knockouts, before the season (there is always targets set by the management before the season).

I agree at the same with people who say that Inzaghi has fucked it up in recent weeks / month and the people who say the ownership/management didn't help him too much. Not in the summer and definitely not in the winter mercato. Winter mercato didn't look like a push to the Scudetto. Two injured players who became available in March or something and we ended up tanking the whole month of February where we could have solidified our position as the capolista.

When it comes to this budget thing, if we lose/draw to Juve, I can't see us reaching 86 points. I can't see us winning 9 out of 10 games.

We didnt overperform, there were so many matches that we won but didnt deserve like Fiore away and when Correa saved our asses. And now we are out of luck. We were mostly shit all the time, didnt beat any decent opponent except Napoli. People had high expectations cause of good results but we were more lucky than good.

How can you guys even think that milan will be able to handle the pressure of those last 7 games. If it was the other way around and we had schedule like that I would say there is no way we're winning Scudetto.

If you beat Atalanta, Inter, Napoli away, draw both times with rube, why not? They can do it and they are favorites to do it. We are not. We are shit. Jbga.
