To be honest, I don't know how people on FIF can hate Argentina. Inter is more Argentinian than Italian for ages, our great captain Zanetti was Argentinian, Argies were our key players to achieve the biggest success in recent years (or maybe in whole history of the club), we have the most Inter players in their NT, so... how?

Because of Messi? Yeah, I dislike him too. But more than dislike Messi, I like Zanetti, Cambiasso, Milito, Samuel, Palacio, Ricky and Hugo.

I don't think loving Inter forces you to support or even like any national team. There is a reason we are called Internazionale!

When Zanetti was playing, I am sure most of us wanted him to win the world cup. Right now, our guys are fringe players at Argentina, so it doesn't really matter.

If Belgium plays as they played against USA, Argentina will have it very very rough.

But Belgium won't play like they played against USA. Because Argentina are not USA. Belgium will not get that much possession to play their football. IMO this is the first real test for Belgium, playing a nation with more talent and stars for the first time this summer. They will need a great defensive performance to get through this one.

I think the Argies will win this, probably with the help of some Messi magic. Their World Cup has been like this so far:

Argentina should start palacio instead higuain

meanwhile higuain lookalike clueless and lazy as fuck..

I sure hope Belgium will win. I think it's possible, we have a strong squad and Argentina hasn't really impressed me so far. On the other hand: they have Messi, yes he's a stupid whining litle bastard but he's one of the best players in the world. If he has a chance he"ll probably finish it (unlike my fellow Belgians yesterday :p). And then there is Di Maria, not bad at all. He's a great player. Belgium will have to perform top level and stay focused all the time. Seriously, If they give a chance away like in the last minute of the regular time against USA they can pack their bags and go home.

Belgium have a better defense and play better as a team, but Argentina have that player that will make you say wow, Messi obviously. Also they'll have the "home" advantage which plays a part aswell. Yeah, odds are very close and anything can happen.

I'll be rooting for Argentina, I kind of miss the Brazil-Argentina classics in the world cups.

I am expecting more from Palacio and Di Maria than from Messi at this point, but I guess an assist instantly makes him the best player in the world again. And a few goals against some shitty NT, ok, ok.

Still afraid Argentina will troll win here again with any of these players but I really hope not. Palacio needs to finally cut off that goddamn rat tail if he wants my sympathy. :trolldad: Good thing for him he doesn't give a flying fuck about my sympathy.

Very unpredictable match. It's the youngest team vs the oldest team. It's perfectly possible that Belgium defeat us, they have a lot of great players. The fact that they won't park the bus like Switzerland, Iran or Bosnia is going to make the match interesting. I think it will be a match similar to the one against Nigeria, with lots of goals. Mertens will drive Basanta crazy, and may score a goal or two. The same with Lukaku if he's a starter: Fernandez will never stop him.
But I trust Higuain to improve this match (I'm pretty sure that fucking Sabella will not bench him), the same with Gago. I just hope he gives Palacio a chance, if he's a starter, I believe he will score.

I've supported Belgium during the whole WC, it's a shame only one of us will continue. I don't want Argentina to be eliminated in quarter finals again :depress: But I'm certain I will support whoever arrives to the semifinals

Why do you need to support a team to watch the game?

Edit: I read your post completely wrong. Another coffee, please.

As a kid i always was fan of Albiceleste but Belgium is very likeable as well.
I wouldn't be surprised to see this talented Belgium team (one of the best generation since a very long time) reaching the semis tonight.
