An unorganised Argentina with Messi & Tevez vs a heavily organised Germany. Gonna be a very pleasant game

Germany will be the first team to truly be able to abuse the weaknesses of Argentina's defense. Mexico did a little, but had no defensive structure to back to slow down the Argentinian attack. Germany is always a highly organized team, so I think this will limit some of the Argentine chances. It might turn into Mascherano vs. Muller, Ozil, Klose, Schweinsteiger, and Podolski if Germany is able to grab hold of possession.

Messi has been amazing at times but I find him struggling to get into his normal Messi form. He drops deep to receive the ball then gets crowded out by the CMs and CBs almost instantly. Teams are marking him with nearly the whole team at time. Now if he can get the ball closer to the box, better yet in the wide areas, he could eat up Germany's defense.

You could easily say the same thing about Germany's defense, particularly in the center

Leo drops deep because there is no deep lying playmaker for Albicelestes...He plays a different role for Argentina than he does for Barca, not sure why many continue to confuse that...Then again, it hasn't kept Argentina from splitting opposing defenses and winning

I can see Müller abusing a very overrated Heinze but that will be on counters because I expect Argentina to have the majority of the possession

Should be the best quarterfinal, IMHO...This was a friendly matchup prior to the WC that was quite physical in nature

Germany will win easily.
this is like Brazil or Portugal, we have a team, who don't depend on anyone, and we have a individidual.

I know Messi plays a different style with Argentina, because he has to. I was pointing out he isn't Barca Messi because he does so much creating and work for the attack, instead of it being Xavi or Iniesta feeding Messi

From Argentina side, Maradona is the person who wants to win this match the most. He will never forget about the Argentina-Germany final in 1990 when the germans won and he bursted in tear after the loss. Hope that he knows what to do with a physical and well-organized Germany.

Germany is very good in air, specially Klose. But the Wall is back and will take care of Klose.

Germany is very good in set pierce. If you remember the Germany-England march how they play the counter attacks. The coach himself told the press that they practise set pierce a thousand times.

Germany plays the most beutiful football in Europe. I like the way they play, but i will support Argentina. Hope that Argentina is in the top form and can beat Germany. Midget players like Messi and Tevez can do wonders against big defenders :)

Maradona may sub himself and play the second half.

German plays really well, they play like a club play... they're so organized like their players play with each other every week...
Argentina has so many great players, but argentina do not have strong scheme... When they play a team like germany or brazil, they will be in deep shit..

It will not be easy for the germans, but they will get away with a win this time

Khedira has been the key for me. With all the limelight on Ozil and others, this man has turned in great performances. Also Schweinsteiger has done well but we know he can be better. The DM role is too limiting for him. Would be great to see him venture out more.

Should be a great game. Been impressed with both teams. Despite being half-German, I'm not a huge supporter of them (much to the chagrin of my Uncle) but I'll be cheering them on this game. Maradona is a cunt after all lol

Rotfl. Since when Germany is organised? This is gonna be very even game and I rather think Argentina will go through. German's coach is as clueless as Maradona is.

I'd rather bet on Argentina's defense with Samuel inside as he is great at commanding the defense line, instead of german's defense which contains mostly middle-quality defenders.

As long as Di Maria won't play in the starting line up I can give up to 95% percentage that Argentina will go through.

Despite Milito&Wally playin for Argentina, Im "forced" to support Germany as I have a ridiculous 3euro bet with a possible winnings of 440EUR and this game is the last decider..Germany must advance, penalties included, into the semifinal, just like Uruguay tomorrow..But how the Diegos call-ups went, I was gonna support Die Mannshaft anyway..

Gary Lineker:"Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win:

It is one of the best quotes ever but this time i must disagree with Gary..I think Argentina will go all the way.:p Diego Milito is my favorite and i will be happy if he lifts the trophy at the end of the World Cup.
