I think he means it was too 'lacksadaisical' for his liking.

If you try to be smart when taking a penalty.. You MUST put it in to save face. Abreu did in this case, but look at this:

How infuriating would it be for your player to take a penalty like that,, and miss? You surely agree that the player would look far less stupid if he had tried a normal penalty kick but was saved.

Agreed. I was unbelievably pissed when the Ghanaian captain missed his PK with a one-step run up. If you're not going to take it the conventional way, you better convert it.

Unlucky Ghana, they could have been easily in the semi finals.

That penalty in the last second was a great gift for them, but sometimes the luck kicks you out.
