Except on occasion historically we have needed our 3rd choice keepers. I would be alot more comfortable if he was at least a Serie B regular

he started quite well but then his neckinjury?? i guess, fucked the whole thing

that being said, he also looked good at the same time longo/bessa did, so i guess that really says a lot about the gap to first team

Absolutely. He also did much better that the guy i expected to become a top GK, Francesco Bardi.

Joking aside, he had a very respectable career with many seasons in decent Serie A clubs (Bologna, Palermo, Fiorentina, Sampdoria). He just didn't live up to the hype. I will always remember him for choosing #2.
