We really need to keep him. Such a likeable guy and a great player. He makes our midfield actually function well. I know some people may think the price is steep, but I think with a full season under his belt, he can also contribute in numbers (goals+assists) as well as making our play better.

He has 1 goal and 3 assists so far but he's had a huge role in many of our goals. As he gets to know his teammates better, those numbers will go up. Keep in mind he also has to play with much lower quality players than he is used to.

 From adjusting to new league to adjusting to shit players. I'd like the sound of the latter one since atleast its something new.

If he remains fit, he is worth every penny and more. And we already knew that when we signed him. Infact we also know he has another gear, we have seen that at Barca. Because of him and Brozovic, we are not dependent upon our wings anymore - we actually have started creating from the middle.

Rafinha is still 25, in a couple of years his value will be double. Redeeming him should be our first priority this summer.

Rafinha would stay without CL

Rafinha is ‘really happy’ at Inter and would stay even without Champions League football, according to his father.

Rafinha has grown into a key player for Inter since arriving on loan from Barcelona in January, and Mazinho – a former Serie A midfielder – believes the Nerazzurri are the ideal club for his son.

“Everything depends on what Inter want to do,” he told FCInterNews.

“Whether they qualify for the Europa League or Champions League is irrelevant. For me, it makes sense for the Nerazzurri to keep such an important player like Rafa.

“He is young and has a big future ahead of him. All of us are happy in Milan at the moment, but we must wait.

“Does he want to stay? Absolutely. We’re very happy at Inter. The team are giving value to his football.

“He’s learning and he feels very well in this group, so he wants to stay where he is.

“I’ll have to go to Milan to find out the Nerazzurri's ideas and interact with all the parties involved.

“Talks with Barca? Not yet because I still have to learn the Nerazzurri’s intentions regarding Rafinha.

“If Inter asked us to wait? In that case, everything would depend on Barcelona. We’d look for the best option for Rafa.

“At the moment it’s Inter, and that’s why we’ll try to stay there. They’re a great club and Milan is beautiful city. I repeat, we’re all really happy here.”

Fixed.

This kid is saying all of the right things, and doing all of the right things on the pitch, we have to figure out a way no matter what to keep him. If that means extending the loan by a year or by selling first and buying him outright this year, management needs to figure out a way.

it would be a huge misstep to let this guy slip through our hands

If we really have to pick I would take him over Cancelo for the simple reason that he makes us function like a team. Cancelo has been great but Rafinha really was the missing link and makes other around him better. We've seen the difference even as recent as the Torino game when he was benched not to mention all of the games prior to him joining us.

Rafinha: ‘Inter, I want to stay’

Rafinha pleads with Inter to buy him outright from Barcelona this summer - “I really hope I can stay”.

The Brazilian arrived on loan in January, with an option to sign him permanently for €35m before July.

However, that is far from certain as the Nerazzurri have to break even for the financial year by June 30 to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.

“I know it’s not up to me, but I want to stay because I feel really good,” Rafinho told Globoesporte.

“Barcelona is my home and I’ll always feel a bit of nostalgia but I’ve found a wonderful environment here and extraordinary teammates. I feel happy in Milan.

“I only arrived a few months ago but it feels as though I’ve been at Inter for years. I felt at ease right away and my integration was really easy.

“I need to thank Mauro Icardi in particular, someone I’ve known since I was 16. It was him who explained to me what playing for Inter means, making it easier to integrate.

“Thanks to Inter I rediscovered the pleasure of playing and feeling like a footballer. The truth is that Inter had confidence in me from the very beginning and I knew I would be fine.

“I really hope I can stay.”

---

seems that Ausilio made him make public statements so Barca let him go cheaper... hope this won`t backfire.

The Nerazzurri will attempt to have Rafinha on loan again for next season with obligation to buy in 2019. The hope is for Barcelona to be sympathetic as the player wants nothing but a stay at Inter.

If I had to choose between Rafinha and Cancelo I would choose Rafinha just because how he talks with media about wanting to stay. I'm just thankful I won't be doing this decision. I'd want both of them.
