Yes, but Rafinha first. If somehow we end up short on money and can't purchase both, Rafinha should be a priority.

I disagree. If we can't afford Cancelo too, then we should let Spalletti pay from his own money to buy him.

I was very on the fence about Rafinha and I've made that known but he really convinced me against Juve. He looked a class above some of their players. Happy to keep him. What I really like about him also is he seems really popular with the other players. He gets on with them all it seems and doesn't just stick to the Portuguese speaking group.

I don't even want to think about Inter next season without Rafinha, he's exactly what was missing.

I'm thinking we can probably kick the financial can down the road on this one by asking Barca to extend the loan but make the "option" to purchase an obligation.

I doubt that they would accept those terms. Check out Barca's forum, a lot of their fans would rather have him back over their current midfield backups. Rafinha also took quite a beating regularly game in and game out since he joined us and he is still standing, he is not as fragile as he was advocated. Hope I'm not wrong on that last bit.

I wonder if he should take #10 next season? Or if we’re saving that for the return of Kovačić :)

We gonna use the player's will on this one. He doesn't want to go back to Barca bench.

The question is more dependent on the bigger picture of what Spalletti & co. see our midfield being like next season. Is our starting midfield next season going to be what it is now, Brozovic, Gagliardini and Rafinha? The most important question is, is that good enough to compete for our objective? (presumably 2nd-4th place). We'll all have our different opinions on whether it is good enough for that or not, but if it isn't, where can improvements be made? If Rafinha is as good as we're going to get for that AM/CM position, then redeem him or make a new deal with Barca (even though I don't believe the players will is anywhere near a big a deal as it made out to be, because I don't think Rafinha will refuse to train at Barca or anything like that anyway).

I like Rafinha, but there are always, always great deals on the market. All I want is that we exhaustively search these resources before making any more fucking bum decisions like blowing 20m+ on trash like Vecino.

I would buy this guy in a second. He is exactly what we needed... He even helped Brozo and Gags to be better, he made them essentials instead of nobody!

I think Gags-Rafi-Brozo midfield will work fine for us if the object is CL spot. Let's say that Asamoah and De Vraj are coming, so our defense at worst will stay on same level (the strongest line this season). We have many problems in attack. Lack of quality replacements for Icardi and Perisic (Eder is shit, don't mentioned it) and new right winger. Candreva is declining quickly and next season should be used only as RB or being sold. And then we need much more depth in the midfield. Borja is too old to be reliable and Vecino could be good rotational player but nothing more. Brozovic and Rafina have no alternatives.

There is only thing that makes him look different than any other Inter player. He always plays like it's final 5 minute of the match and we are one goal behind whereas the rest play like they only started the match and they are leading by 3 goals.

Yeah, if we can go to a season with an established and a working midfield (Brozo-Gags-Rafinha) we surely can get better results. Our game will be better at the start of the season so we can hopefully repeat the great start like this season. But the difference would be we won't fall into the abyss in December because our system actually works. Of course that require other things too like better depth in the bench than this season. But the basis would be there, a working midfield.

Barcelona ace eyed in €20m permanent exit, significantly less than initial fee touted

Having impressed during his loan spell with Inter this season, Barcelona loanee Rafinha is reportedly wanted by the Italian outfit on a permanent basis.

The 25-year-old made the move to Serie A in January, and has gone on to make 14 appearances for the Nerazzurri as they continue to pursue a Champions League qualification spot.

That could arguably have a major impact on their ability to sign top new players this summer given the financial boost it will give them, and Rafinha could be one of the first players that they target.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Inter want to sign the Brazilian ace for up to €20m, but that could be problematic as it was initially agreed that they would pay €38m including bonuses for him at the time his loan agreement was made, as per the report.

In turn, that’s a significant gap between the two reported fees, and so it remains to be seen whether or not negotiations at the end of the season will result in a compromise being reached and a permanent transfer being sealed.

With the competition for places in midfield at Barcelona already fierce with the likes of Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Paulinho and Philippe Coutinho set to continue to play heavy minutes for Ernesto Valverde moving forward, it’s questionable as to whether a return to the Nou Camp is the most sensible idea for Rafinha.

As a result, he may well favour the idea of staying with Inter too, but it will all seemingly depend on his transfer fee and if one can be agreed between the two parties.

He’s evidently highly valued by current boss Luciano Spalletti, but time will tell if the Italian tactician will be able to call on him again next season.

We would still need another spare box to box midfielder. True task for the management will be to get couple of very cheap but decent additions to the squad because we need a bigger strength in numbers first and foremost. I know EL isn't CL but look at Napoli this season, they self-imposingly handicapped themselves with the same starting line up like we initially did, despite their slightly bigger bench, and in the end had to jack it in in order to focus just on the Serie A. If we are going to EL I still don't want us to half-ass it.

Those few promising primavera kids too should be hijacked by Spalletti as soon as now because we sure as hell are gonna have a need for them.

he's good enough, but not world class, he can be in the future but it's not certain.

i would rather not buy him, and instead, sell icardi and spend the money on a real world class player like Milinković-Savić.
(i mean on FIFA 18 not real life, because Suning :scream:)

It's great that you are not on charge in Inter.

It's great that you are not on charge in Inter.

you must think that it's great to get Rafinha for +40 million, and give icardi his usual 6 month salary bump, then get the rest of the Vecinos and Valeros of the world.
things definitely will change that way.
the most loyal fans in italy really deserve this kind of master plans !
