Vecino without his headers, he is useless. He is also not fit most of season. So keeping him is wrong.

Gags has better passing than Vecino, but Vecino is much better finisher, Valero something in between. Fiorentina level players, nothing more

So every club in the world is fated to have some players like Gagliardini, Vecino, Lingard, Phil Jones, Mustafi, Andres Pereira.

You have merely mentioned players from three struggling clubs.

The problem is we seem to have patience for these kind of brain-farty players - Ranocchia for years as a really good example, and Gags. There's no coincidence our defense has improved a lot in the last few years. As I said, 89 min of good play 1 min lapse in concentration leading to a missed goal or conceded goal really doesnt help anyone and is 'on average' a bad game.

These find margins are what separete average/good players from top players. If we judge them systematically and not as one offs, as everyone can have a bad day.

Gagliardini serves a purpose but he's inadequate. He can still be a 6/7th choice central midfielder for us, but if he's the 4/5th choice it will lower our level. There's this cliche of how you are as good as your worst player, well, we still have several "worst" players around and Gagliardini is part of that pack.

I'm pretty sure if he moves back to Atalanta or he plays for another team he will surprise many people that do not rate him, but the idea is to have someone who is great at Inter, not who could be great anywhere else.

Gagliardini obviously isn't good enough to get big minutes here but I disagree with the notion that he's the difference between us being ahead of Juventus or not.

At the start of our 2nd half of the season we failed to win 4 out of the first 6 matches - Lecce/Cagliari draws and losses against direct rivals Lazio and Juventus. Gagliardini didnt start a single one of those matches.

We have a lot of holes in our team starting with our midfield in the defensive phase as well as the 3-man defence. For a decent part of the season we played Godin, De Vrij, Skriniar and it just doesnt work.

Also no matter how many assists he gets, Candreva should be one of the first names out of the team.

Gagliardini is already 6th-7th choice midfielder in our team. I wouldn't accept him even as 7th choice, rather have Valero given that we can dump Gags somewhere.

Another goal. He’s our 4th highest scoring player after Lukaku, Lautaro and Candreva this season?

Good Lord, that shows how much work this club needs to do before Inter can challenge for trophies.

He hit the ball the very same way as in the match against Sassuolo. Had he been 20-30 behind, he might have missed the goal again.

Actually that shows not only the forwards are involved in scoring of goals but the whole team. If we replace players like Gagsi, who get themselves on goalscoring positions often with better, we'll score even more.

He did really well yesterday in every play. He was all over the place. Probably made one stupid misspass but other than that he had a great day against an inferior opposition. Lets give him credit as much as we trash him when he is trash.

he was fine, tbh, but he often passes backwards and passes sloppily. That kills our momentum. As I put in the Eriksen thread, we need to fgocus on keeping confidence in our momentum going forwards now - Gags really doesnt help with that imho. He's ok at hustling and disrupting play (for both sides, lolz), but he's not really great for building an attack with

He is one of the worst midfielders Inter has had in a long long time. We fail to win every single big game he plays in.

But hey he scores against SPAL and Genoa so we should ignore just how truly shit he is. When team see him on the field they treat him like they would a pylon in training, except the pylon is a better passer of the ball

He makes me miss Kondogbia
