There's levels to this though:
Level 1 is just the typical, in the heat-of-the-moment stuff, usually during the game. "Fucking Gagliardini!", "Gags has been shit today", "fucking Candreva can't do anything right" etc.
Level 2 is when people make the effort to write a semi-literate post or analysis criticising a player. I've certainly done this a lot because I find it interesting to observe a player, their strengths, weaknesses and tendencies. I think most people stay around Levels 1 & 2.
e.g During the game you post "fucking Vecino
" (LVL 1 stuff) Then afterwards you go to his thread
and rant about how he lacks the technical skill to be consistent for a team aiming to challenge for the scudetto, and that without 2 clutch goals, his Inter career has been largely disappointing etc. (LVL 2)
Then there's Level 3, largely perpetrated by nutjobs like Nyall, that pringles dickhead,
occasionally brehme etc. these dudes will go completely out of their way or against the flow of conversation to criticise a player out of nowhere.
e.g. Lukaku might score a great header and brehme will ludicrously claim that having analyzed the angle of Lukaku's forehead movement he actually meant to pass it but it accidentally ended up as a goal
Or perhaps we play a game and Gagliardini was mediocre. Most people just roll their eyes, post the occasional "fuck gags" in the match thread and leave it at that. Nyall then goes to the Gagliardini thread to specifically flame him
Better yet, Gagliardini DOESN'T play a game, but Nyall
still goes to the Gagliardini thread to flame him and say look how much better we were without him
For the record, I enjoy it all, don't take it too personally. I often find myself laughing therapeutically at the frustrations expressed. Honestly, when Inter are playing like trash and you read funny comment like "I hate Nagatomo", it makes the experience so much more endurable.
Some of the lvl 3 stuff is unnecessary and can get tiresome if it's persistent and if I'm not in the mood to entertain it but it's all part of it I guess.
