I cannot fault anybody saying that, we flaunted around saying we are a big club, but making so many bullshit decision it is not even funny. Especially buying too many average players for 10mil after the players with ambition and who were actually worth their wages left us (eto'o, motta,..)

How are you going to be a big club without having big players? That is why we need some selfsustainability...because that is what big clubs have!

We looked soooo much better with 4-3-1-2. Maybe we should invest in box to box mids instead of wingers for now. Not sure what's going on in the locker room, but I hope him criticizing Icardi is not responsible for the slump in form.

i dont know what game you guys watched but the only reason there was an improvement in our play later on in the match is because we were more motivated, a bit like Inter-Lazio last season, nothing to do with mancio's tactics just like that win had very little to do with Mazzarri's tactics.

Very little tactics/structure but a lot more running/drive especially from kovacic. then again, all the running and stamina on the planet can't change shit into gold - eg. nagatomo, guarin

there were a few contributing reasons.. medel in the middle and became a rock to solidify defense and to transition the ball and distribute it around. kuz just doesn't inspire the same confidence i don't think. lazio's yellow cards certainly helped take off some of their more important players. these two things coupled with them packing it in and giving us space allowed us to pelt them till we scored.

Okay there.. Lazio basically had two chances all game and managed to score from them... we had so many chances and wasted them..

We improved significantly over the first half, mainly in part to Dodo coming off for Medel and us switching to a 4-3-1-2. That was Mancini's fault though, but at least he corrected it, and managed to salvage a point. There's no doubt in my mind with a better winger than Dodo and better CM than Guarin we'd be several times better.

bandiera we have been looking much better on the ball under mancini, its not just mentality.

our build up is much better, faster tempo, with more passing options.

yes, i share your thought. we were playing champgane football first half, which let me know immediately that mancini had prepared this game in excellence! come second half we were still on champagne, nothing really changed, until Mateo scores a screamer and the stadium goes nuts, hence almost all of ours go nuts too and push for more, then equalize. it was all meazza today. all mancini did is not prepare this match, get fucked on 2 goals down, then and only then fixes the mistake (s) and puts on medel. oh, and that sub in the 91st  sure d'ambrossio got injured, but with 2 minutes left that's retard mentality and did not make sense whatsoever.

i could only catch a bit of the first half and the second half of the game, so i don't know (based on the matchthread, lazio was raping us across the first 45 mins ). even if what youre saying is true, whether or not we were better than lazio doesn't mean we were good (b/c how we were better than them matters - eg. whenever mazzarri won a game)...

and changing the shape of play by changing how the team lines up (by bringing on new players) is independent of how they attack with that new shape (eg. structure of play and organization of the shape).. and that's the subject of my post

The game changed precisely the moment Medel was subbed in. Nevermind the last 20 minutes, even before kovacic' beauty, we were playing very well.

I hope the second half showed him how we need to play...

No Dodo, No Guarin, Yes to Medel and Osvaldo/Bona.

Mancini > Mazzarri, who couldn't even get the Meazza on his side or correct his mistakes.

If Mazzarri was coaching us we wouldn't even get back into the game. Everything else is just noise....

“I did not think that in a month we became like Barcelona or Bayern.''

Mancini has spoken. For those who say we’re lacking of structure, I see your point well; there’s a reason our two goals came from set piece plays rather than open plays, anyway.

However, I suggest you to lower your expectation and see the bigger picture. You’re forgetting Mancini has been here for only for short period of time, and not having a full pre-season and players as his requirements, definitely don’t put him in a better situation. Even, with those disadvantages, he still manages to make us playing a more fluid, attacking football compared to the previous regime, which is nice.

the only thing that changed is the atmosphere. a fresh wind thats gonna pass like a fart in the sky. #poetry

if we dont get on track somehow soon, after 3-4 games all that 3rd place talk will stop.
like i said, at least mazzarri didnt get our hopes up.
