The fact that Mancini will be around for at least another season is a tough pill to swallow on here for some. If we don't have a revolving door of comings and goings, he has no more excuses early on next season. He knows we aren't going to spend spend spend to keep him happy. This is a good thing, and he will have to prove his doubters wrong. This should drive him to succeed, not fail. He should want suitors for his next long term contract. He has to put all his mistakes behind him from past season, correct them, and carry the team forward. Just no to LVG. Simeone or nothing in 2017!

Whats this about Mancini skipping the latest management summit? He's not sure now whether to stay or go.

As I understand he is on vacation in Miami so his agenda don't fit Thohir's agenda. Mancini comes back on Sunday and Thohir leaves on Sunday. I hope this irritates the shit out of him lol.

Cheque book coach is probably shitting in his pants these days as Ausilio is meeting everyone.

Football italia reported that Mancini lets Ausilio know daily his stance on Inter keeping its star players.

I think Mancini is on his way out. A few weeks ago, he stated that he will leave Inter if he is not wanted. All of last week, there were reports about how Simeone wants to return to Inter all of which were confirmed and commented on by Zanetti in the lead up to the Champions League final. In the post match press conference following his loss in the Champions League, Simeone admitted that he was giving thought to his future and whether he will remain at Athletico Madrid. Throughout all of the above, Mancini has been strangely absent and quiet.

I strongly believe that Simeone won't come to Inter without CL.

I don't think that Simeone will come to Inter for professional reasons only, because if so, there are tons of clubs better than Inter who will be very interested in him.

I think he's coming specifically to inter for personal reasons mostly. Let it be passion, old memories, close friends and former teammates and whatever. He's not choosing Inter for glory hunting, therefore, I don't think that not being in the CL this season is a big issue to him. Besides, he needs a first season for building and studying the team so he won't go far in the CL in his first season with this Inter anyway.

Not everyone looks only for salary, CL, trophies etc. There exist people who just do it for passion and challenges. Maybe Simeone is one of those. It happens in football actually.

I bet there is more chance of Leicester defending the title, than Simeone coming to Inter. For whatever reason. #partypooper

I'm pretty sure it (the silence) is just because they're on holiday.

Sadly, we're stuck with this incompetent sorry excuse of a 'coach.'

This might be the reason Mancini has been quiet ...

However, if that rumour is true, even Inter fans like me who want continuity with coach wouldn't mind Inter sacking Mancini for Simeone this summer. Its a chance to upgrade that you just cannot ignore, and Simeone style of play is quite compatible with the squad Mancini is trying to build. It would be a logical transition... but I suspect this is planned for next summer, not this one.

To everyone wanting to sack Mancini for being the piece of shit manager he is, who exactly do we replace him with that won't be fool's gold good as best, like Mazzari? We need to focus as a club to be good enough that a monkey could coach us and we'd do well. With better players we wouldn't need miracle workers as our manager just to come 3rd or even a world class coach.

How do we get better players without supporting Mancini with a bigger budget?
How do we get a bigger budget without qualifying for CL?
How do we qualify for CL with a manager like Mancini without a budget that he requires?

Chicken and egg question tbh.
