Cold shoulder towards Inter boss continues
Preparations for next season aren’t taking shape at Inter, causing a strain between the club and tactician
Inter appear to lack a coherent strategy toward strengthening themselves during the summer transfer window, which has caused a rift between the club and coach Roberto Mancini.
As July comes to a close, the Italian tactician hasn’t even had discussions with the Suning Group about renewing his own contract, which expires in 2017.
Financial Fair Play rules are limiting the way in which the Biscione can strengthen their side ahead of next season, which is causing a strain between Mancini and the side.
As of now, Inter are hoping to raise €30 million in funds to use in the transfer window, in addition to the €20m they’ve secured by selling defenders Juan Jesus and Cristiano Biraghi, as well as midfielder Diego Laxalt.
Beyond that, Mancini is supposedly not involved in talks to improve the team, as the club apparently feels he was overly part of the process during the past two campaigns, as the new owners would prefer he spent more time focusing on matters on the field.
That said, Inter are not trying to trick their fans into thinking that the side is capable of easily reaching the Champions League and reasserting themselves as one of the top clubs in the world.
However, the Suning Group are looking to strengthen the side by hiring an administrative leader who is very familiar with Serie A and the Italian language.
For now, rumours continue to spread that Mancini’s days with the Biscione are coming to a close in the near future.
Should the 51-year-old get sacked, Inter would reportedly offer his open position to an experienced tactician like former Italy boss Cesare Prandelli, while Fabio Capello, Marcelo Bielsa, Andre Villas-Boas, and Walter Zenga could all be options as well.

Are we seriously considering Prandelli and especially Zenga?

Not that i like the other options, but replacing Mancio with one of those two would be utterly stupid.
