Former Inter Coach Roberto Mancini spoke to RomaNews.eu about Sunday's clash between Roma and Inter at the Olimpico:

“I think Inter get there better, because at least in the league comes from two wins and a draw, but psychologically they could be better after the blow in yesterday’s defeat in the Europa League. For many years Inter and Roma have played for the championship, it is always a good match."

England FA invite Mancini
By Football Italia staff

Roberto Mancini has reportedly been invited to watch England-Malta at Wembley by the FA, fuelling his links with the job.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the former Inter and Manchester City boss will be in the stands for today’s World Cup qualifier.

It seems he was invited directly by the Football Association, fuelling reports he is in negotiations for the England job.

Sam Allardyce parted company with the FA just weeks after taking over and Gareth Southgate is the caretaker manager.

Mancini is not the only option for England, but he is available after terminating his contract with Inter by mutual consent in August.

He will probably lose interest and be dismissed after FA will make it clear that he can't summon Yaya Toure

I can't wait until he tries to play his beloved 4-2-3-1 with zero quality midfielders for the holding role.

Fiorentina, Lazio, Inter, Man city, Galatasaray, Inter and now the English NT. For being a shit coach, he's either the smartest weezle on planet or the luckiest sob. It's amazing how he always manages to find idiots at high level teams to hire him.

To make it even funnier, he's always been dismissed/fired directly or indirectly from his duties by every single club except for Fiorentina and Lazio. Yet, idiots still hire him and with high salary.

English national team coach has been a job thats more or less end your career. Not that many managers have manage to continue their coaching at high level after being fired from the job.

Its obvious that I have more respect for Mancini than some people here - he will be a coup for England looking at the last two idiots they hired. But the England job will be a disaster for Mancini. They just don't have the players that Mancini needs to implement his style. And Mancini as we all know if not the kind of coach who can tactically adapt to the players he has.

If he has to coach a country, then teams like France or Brasil have more his kind of players.

Brazil? He would get eaten alive with his boorig ass tactics if he coached Brazil. I mean look how much critizism Dunga got for playing defensive football Mancinis 3 DM system would get him fired after like 3 games. The only thing Brazil has that would fit mancinis tactics is a superstar who can win games on his own other than that he s one of the worst choice i could think of when it comes to coaching Brazil.

Mancini regrets Inter return
By Football Italia staff

Roberto Mancini has expressed his regret at coaching Inter a second time. “Never go back to where you did well because you can only do worse...”

Mancini returned to Inter in November 2014, six years since he ended a hugely-successful spell at the helm, but failed to deliver any silverware and left the club on the eve of the 2016-17 campaign.

“Never go back to where you did well because you can only do worse,” the Coach admitted in a seminar at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome.

“I went back and don’t know why. I was persuaded, believed I could start a serious project and wanted a bit of time.

“I came back for the affection that binds me to Inter, they were in trouble and I thought [returning] would be a good thing for what Inter had given me over the years.

“Coaches do everything in England, there aren’t executives in tow who decide everything.

“I’m still young, I have other objectives. I definitely won’t go to China but rather I want other experiences in Europe.

“China is a bit out of the way at the moment, but it’s true that we should also look at other things.

“I’ve already coached in England and Turkey, so having experiences in other countries and Leagues would be the best thing.”

A month ago he said exactly the opposite.

I always admired what he did at Manchester City - paying for an ad in a newspaper to thank the fans for their support, after he got the sack, I thought him to be a real classy guy - but after this I wish I never read anything connecting Inter and Mancini ever again.

Well. 1 and 3/4 of a season is more than a bit of time tbh.

He has a point. The second spell didnt go as planned but I still regard him as an Inter great for his first spell. He done some good work on his return as well I feel.
