Well, let's see. I was never impressed with Young, but he lasted in that United squad for a while:)

the thing to remember, too, perisic is getting older. we're talking about a guy who would be 35 by the end of this new contract. Renewing/extending him would be such a classic Inter thing to do, and then having to golden handshake him in a year if he doesnt perform or something

It feels bad, esp on a bosman, but where we are financially etc it is probably the right dfecision lets be honest.
This, pretty much.

It sucks to lose Perisic, but (for once) management appropriately planned for it. We signed the best alternative in the league. Gosens is ready to start for us, and letting Perisic leave is fiscally responsible.

The problem is everything else that's going on at the club. Signing Mkhitaryan, who is injury prone and fading. Selling a star player, like Bastoni.

Is he really that injury prone? He played the same amount of minutes as Hakan and more than Lautaro last season?

He is not injury prone. It was a muscle injury he picked up against Leicester about a month ago. He started 29 games in Serie A with total of 2505 minutes. That's like 70 percent of the games this season, not counting Conference League.

I don't understand where is this notion about Gosens coming from. The guy had one major injury and now he suddenly is an injury prone?
He was again injured after that while playing for us, it was muscle thing again. When shit starts it never ends my friend.

I've wanted this guy to be here for like 3 years now. I don't doubt he will be important player for us.

I don't want him wasted in our bench.
He is one of the best euro performers like Dumfries.

I hope next season he Will become our best player .
Remember Perisic was benched by Ashley Young then turn beast this season.

I really prefer our players just rest during a break.

I mean commitment to fitness is fine but their bodies need to heal too. Healthy diet and low impact activities e.g. swimming/cycling are more than good enough. Running long distances should be avoided, they will have more than enough running to do during the season.

He didn't do much running during the 2021-22 season, to be fair.

I’m less concerned with Gosens being an injury case alla-Sensi *aggressively knocks on wood*

He seems to take care of this body and has a solid muscle build, like Perisic. These are important factors in staying healthy and why you see players like this not missing too many games because of injury (on average).
