Darmian is more safe defensively I think. He's more of the safe bet thing with the positioning etc.

Issue with Gosens is he isn't getting consistent starts. That's what he needs but I understand Inzaghi. He needs results and he picks best players for him every match. Gosens is not the best player for him unfortunately.

One negative I must say about Gosens. I don't remember has there been a match where he hasn't given a total mispass at some point of the game. And I mean in our half in our normal ball cycling (which should be very safe shit). Maybe these little things AMONG OTHER THINGS affect Inzaghi's decisions.

Rumors of him starting the Barcelona game and I am all for it!

I still think Gosens will do a lot for Inter we just need to see that spark start

Darmian and Dimarco get into dangerous positions when moving forward. Gosens doesn’t that’s why this isn’t even a debate.

If he starts against Barca, it’s because Inzaghi is setting his team to defend that left side.

I thought Gosens was brought to be an attacking option, but not really a defensive one?

Getting into dangerous positions was exactly what Gosens was known for at Atalanta.

I was confident that Gosens would be a sure thing, but he really hasn’t shown much. As others have pointed out, he appears to be completely lacking in confidence.

Start him, dang it. Let Dimarco ride the pine for awhile.

Just reminding everyone that Gosens is not a one trick pony who is only excels at exploiting space and scoring goals like Marcos Alonso. While it is his forte, he is an all-rounder complete wingback who is comfortable at doing all wingback's jobs like defending, dribbling, crossing etc. The only thing Dimarco does better is delivery so IMO Gosens is still a better LWB overall. I really wish both Gosens and Inzaghi ride on this momentum and turn the former into his peak like Atalanta days.

I just love this guy. It would be a shame if we let him go in January. That goal is so typical of him during his time in Bergamo. That was the Gosens of Atalanta.

Please just let him start a few games in a row. In order for us to unlock the real Gosens, he simply has to start consistently.

The problem is more with Inzaghi than Gosens. The German can undoubtedly play. That was very much the case before he came to Inter and it is still the case now. I have always felt that he could be a real asset for Inter but the way he has been utilised to date simply does not make sense nor does Inzaghi's decision to continually omit him from the starting line-up.

The alleged crisis in confidence is Inter and Inzaghi made. Get him off the bench and allow him to play and we will undoubtedly get the best from him.
