Don't have one.
Fuck sake. Perfect game for him to start too. Perisic is exhausted
Don't think he would start till the end of the season, as long as perisic is fit, especially now that every game is important. You can see when he plays, he doesn't have more than 15-20 min in him.

I'm not too worried about his injury, perisic is a monster when it comes to fitness, he can manage it.

We'll just have to hope Perišić and Bastoni don't get hurt at the same time.

GOSENS: ‘GASPERINI TOLD ME THAT INTER WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE’

Inter defender Robin Gosens admits he struggled to settle in at Atalanta and reveals Gian Piero Gasperini told him that joining Inter was the right choice for his career.

The Germany international signed with the defending Serie A champions in January, leaving Bergamo after four and a half years. He has become one of the best defenders in the league, although his rapport with Gasperini hasn’t always been ideal.

“The start was difficult. The coach didn’t trust me at the beginning. I didn’t speak Italian, and I felt excluded. I didn’t understand what the coach wanted from me,” he told DAZN Deutschland.
“One of my teammates sustained an injury before a game against Borussia Dortmund, so the coach was forced to play me. That’s when things changed.
“I learned so much from Gasperini, he is a genius. We haven’t always had a great rapport, but then things changed. He told me that he never coached a player who has improved so much and that joining Inter was the right decision.”

Gosens played his last game with Atalanta in September 2021 and spent the last few months at the club on the sidelines because of a severe hamstring injury.
“It was the lowest point of my career, it took four months and a half to recover and when I was close to returning, I got injured again.
“It was tough mentally, but I’ve never doubted my body. I’ve studied psychology and it was helpful to organise the chaos that I had in my mind. Injuries are part of the game, the most important thing is to face them and come back stronger.

“I could have played at Atalanta forever, but Inter was a unique chance,” he continued.
“Ivan Perisic is having a great season and I am convinced that the challenge with him will help him somehow.
“I couldn’t say goodbye to Atalanta fans properly. I owe a lot to the club and it was sad to leave without playing in front of fans again.”

Just like Caicedo another pointless winter transfer. Who is to blame for such a crappy winter transfer. Inzaghi?

Who would have thought that our cursed left side would get packed with so much quality?

If Marotta is right about Inzaghi's learning curve then we might see both Perisic and Gosens being used to maximize their qualities.

Versus Cagliari I'd start Gosens with Perisic playing next to Martinez.

You can throw Correa/Sanchez in the place of either left sided guy at some point, hopefully no Dzeko who isn't usually a threat in away games.

I think dzeko is not a threat even with my nephews playing outside of the house, let alone for inter.

I feel like this signing was done with the knowledge that perisic wouldn’t renew his contract or we couldn’t renew it, no matter what. Perisic has been sensational and in no way should be replaced by anyone, but maybe management felt the writing was on the wall and knew they had to pounce on gosens. Thankfully we did this early and not “stunned inter make desperate bid for gosens, as perisic signs with xyz” only to lose out on gosens, and end up with jonathan.

I feel so bad for the Gosens. Great player but sucks that he’ll never play because he has a man in front of him who’s super consistent, has endless amounts of stamina, is never injured and is arguably our player of the season

I mean Gosens will eventually play and get his chances. Can’t say the timing of the signing really benefited us at all considering we haven’t used him and perhaps a different player could have helped us out more in the scudetto push.. but whatever. At least we have an answer for Perisic leaving if he chooses to do so.

He was brought because of an opportunity that seemed too good to be true, just like Eriksen. It's the Correa money that should've been used for a different player, but Lukaku sale fucked us. If Lukaku never left or left like a month before he did, it would be easier.

He knows first hand what kind of shoes he has to fill.

I wonder when we'll start hearing that Gosens will be the replacement for Bastoni and Dimarco

Lol what? That's their great masterplan for post Bastoni :palm: There are three things Gosens is good at:

-stamina
-forward runs
-getting himself in favorable position in attack to assist or score

You would negate all these by playing him as a lcb. Also Gosens was never a great defender and his passing is nothing special. Asking him to do things he can't would be self sabotage and set him up for failure.
