1) Romulus and Remus

2) Aeniad(which I think later on continues with part 1)

The Aeniad is about Aeneas, a Trojan that was given the sword of Troy and was given orders to lead the women and children in a safe place to create a new Troy.
From what I read, they founded a new city, close to Rome, and then the Romulus and Remus story happened.

Search wikipedia :)

About Mycenae, I was going to get deep about it in January or something, but I just got carried away with other stuff. They were one of the first Mediterrenean civilizations, with "works" stretching from Crete to Western Greece(even Italy say some sources) and we are talking about 12000BC so that's quite an accomplishment given the equipment and technology they had. You could also mention the story about the earthquake that occured in the Aegean and wrecked many historical monuments and things from the Cycladian and Myceanian times ;)

i searched wikipedia, but its useless. I need to how mycenae was founded. I'm frustrated as fuk, I got all this info on mycenae, but nuthin bout how it was created. Jus a lil bit on how acheaens invaded greece in 2200BC n created the greek language.

Is the romlus and Remus story fact? it's hard to believe there
's a god called mars that fcked their mom n had them, then they were raised by a wolf. thnx for that aeniad bit, very helpful. anymore bits of info, on how rome or mycenae was founded (other than what u mentioned) myth o fact would be very very helpful. thnx again for that aeniad bit.

Well, myths are usually based on facts. So, if you heard that Mars was their father, then it simply means that their father is an unknown person in history. But it's kinda true they existed. The she-wolf part is still unknown if it's myth or fact.

Myceanians were of Argive race. Greeks were "split" in many "races", like Argives, Epirotes, Aeolian, Dorian, Ionian, Macedonian, Thesalian etc...
I'll search some Greek sites on the founding of Mycenae, since there's not much information on that subject ;)

I found a Greek page saying that they were first settled at around 2500BC and there were two ruling dynasties: Perseids(sons of Perseus) and Atreides(sons of Atreidas, Agamemnon for example)

Mythology says that it was founded by Perseus, son of Zeus and Danae and that it was enclosed in a fort, named cyclopian, which in fact is still in existence ;)

(See the relevance between myths and facts :))

Mycenae was extremely rich. It is said that it was Hittites and Egyptians that shared their gold with them. The next thing it says is about the Dorian invasions that destroyed the Mycenean culture...

Dude, just Google it up.
I probably made more searches in the last 24 hours than the rest of the world put together.

I'm finished and thanks Yuko you were a BIG help. i owe u one :). Greek and roman history r pretty interesting, with the legends and all. Better than the boring egyptian legends. They really put u to sleep.
