Marotta isn't an idiot. He knows he has all the leverage. He can wait Chelsea out.

Tbf we really don't know how this is going to be played out. I wouldn't call marotta an idiot until it's done in a horrible manner or we completely crumble the lukaku, dybala, and Bremer, deals all in one go.

Honeslty, he can fuck off. I am not sure we even need him now!
We shouldn't even bother to think about bringing him back!
Pintus isn't here anymore.

I'm certainly in favor of a two-year loan for 23 million

Beppe has to cash in on a few bench/ loaned players and negotiate the fee to be smaller than 23M€ . Perfect would be 2 years with option, but that aint happening. Lukaku wants only us and will reject all the others so we can push for say 15M loan fee.

Marina is a tough woman and hard to push around , but I hope Beppe's hypnotic eyerolls will do the trick when he travels to London for final talks.

Ме too, but i believe Chelsea demands 23 mln for only one season, which won't happen.
Let's see, negotiations have not started yet, we do not super need him, so either he will come on our terms or not at all.

AFAIK leverage is till the end of this month. After that Lukaku can't use Growth Decree anymore and he would have to drop his salary even more.

Tbf Lukaku is not bad at counter attacking, I remember his last season goal vs Napoli that was beautiful
He was okay for us but when I watched him with Chelsea he was a disaster he just slowed them down

Why not? The tax year is January-December

Hmm okay so as long as Lukaku starts to pay taxes before next January, he will be a tax resident in consecutive tax years and is thus applicable to Growth Decree?

Then it's gonna be a long summer with this fucking debacle.

If the Tax year is Jan - Dec, doesn't that mean we sold him the previous tax year. How is he still eligible?
