I don't know how much truth there is, if any, in the reports that Chelsea have asked for one of Bastoni, Skriniar or Lautaro to be included in an exchange with Lukaku.
Our one and only priority should be doing everything within the realms of possibility to keep our core players. Literally everything else comes after this mission. We would be absolute spastics to compromise this mission in order to bring Lukaku back.
It should only be considered in the event we can pull it off on extremely favorable terms. The second the parameters become even slightly inconvenient for us, either in terms of finances, or through Chelsea demanding our stars in exchange, we should walk away from the deal.
Not trying to be a fearmonger but I don't trust this management or ownership. You can bury your heads in the sand but it's a fact that Marotta has actively tried to sell Skriniar every fucking 6 months. He's already botched two renewals with Perisic and de Vrij and now Skriniar only has a year left on his contract. It would be very much like Marotta to try insert Skriniar in this deal at a valuation greater than if he were a standalone sale. That's precisely the kind of temptation I don't trust our management with.
