You need to give it time. Lukaku was the best player in Serie A under Conte. He needs to understand the new tactics , also Inzaghi has to understand what is needed to unleash the 20/21 BigRom.

Milik is slow and average. We needed pace upfront .

Despite Lukaku’s shitty start, I’m still glad we didn’t lock ourselves in for Dybala. I think both were risky options.

The smartest purchases we made involved buying youngish talent for $10-$40mil [Brozovic, Bastoni, Barella, Lautaro, Dumfries, Hakimi, Skriniar, Kovacic, Icardi ect]. Even Ranocchia turned out to be a worthwhile investment.

I would rather take a Barella+Sensi or Icardi+Belfodil than go all in for expensive players in visible decline.

I don’t mind signing old players on the cheap as a stopgap [Young, Dzeko, Miki, Borja, Darmian ect] as long as they’re not brought in as starters (Dzeko).

That's why it didn't make sense that we dissolved Sanchez's contact so late in the pre-season. He didn't played much but the times he played he was important. Now we have 4 attackers, 2 of whom are injury prone and one who is almost the legal retirement age.
