He does not appear so bulky/strong as before, seems leaner to me. Yet to see if this is good or bad.

According to Gazzetta, Inter and Chelsea have a gentlemen’s agreement to extend Lukaku’s stay at the Stadio Meazza until 2024.
Inter would pay €10m for another one-season loan, covering the striker’s salary and trying to include an option to buy in the deal.

Lukaku doesn’t want to return to Chelsea and the Blues are not planning to reunite with the 29-year-old so the Nerazzurri are confident that they’ll manage to strike a deal with the Premier League giants.
This was probably factored into the Casadei deal, hence the nice amount we got from them.

But those are the same thing? Verbal agreement and gentlemen agreement. Neither of them are really signed and Gazzetta's version is probably missing in translation or they are cutting the corners a bit.

Yeah I believe it's the same thing, just an unofficial agreement that allowed us to get more money for Casadei, we're getting stuck with Lukaku on extraterrestrial wages while we're about to lose Skriniar on a Bosman.
Meritocracy has a different meaning at Inter.

Inter really wish to pay back as much money that Chelsea paid for Lukaku. Way to ruin a good sale which Inter managed to do once in a decade.

We already paid too much to get back an injured out of form Lukaku on loan. Let's not make it even worse by extending it, or worse making it permanent. We don't even know who's gonna be the coach and how we're going to play next season. Why even think about keeping this fatass for another year when getting him back has turned out to be a failure so far?

The season has a long time to go still. If he is sensi for the rest of the season then yes it's really daft, but if he comes back in good shape we will all be over the moon.

Relax and see.

What if he comes back and is in a bad shape and cannot be removed from the lineup because it'll (he'll) ruin the locker room?
