As far as Lukaku is concerned, if he's a nonfactor vs Inter great, if he does good vs Milan and Juve rock on! Else, who cares?

He gave us Pavard and Thuram.

And this might be way too early to say, and might sound dumb by the end of the season, but I'd never trade this Thuram for any Lakaka.

Thuram is individually good. Lakaka was good with Conte.
Tbh we signed Thuram at the start of July and Lukaku sweepstakes were going on full swing at the time. It was almost two weeks later, at least over week later when the Lukaku thing happened.

Anyway I agree this Thuram is so much more useful for Inter. He's not butthurt if he's not the center of the team and universe. Quite the contrary.

i'm baffled how mentally fragile he is, he is like a big baby.
also, with his phisique, he should dominate every battle, but an old fox like Acerbi ate him for dinner.

Thuram has now scored decisive goals against Fiorentina, Milan, Torino, Roma and Benfica. Assisting 5 as well .

Meanwhile the king of Roma is still decisive against the likes of Pordenone and Ternana.

Honestly I don't remember the year but there was a Playoffs game in the 90's where the Miami Heat defeated the Bulls and Mourning tried to trashtalk MJ's team.

The next match, all of the Chicago team stepped up and destroyed the Heat with every single player defending on Mourning who had nightmare game (Rodman, Jordan, Pippen, Harper, Kukoc, etc, everybody defended on him at one time and kept blocking him or making him misses his field goal).

It was a mission. When I saw yesterday game, I felt that aura from our players regarding Lukaku.

Those were some pretty cold handshakes before the game. I think Lukaku tried to go for a hug with Lautaro :D

Has there been a case before where someone fell out in this way with former teammates? Typically even when players leave for a rival, they are on good terms with former teammates. Even Calhanoglu seems to be on good terms with most Milan players, with a few exceptions but not even close to the way Lukaku seems to be on terms with our players currently.

Lautaro admitted Lukaku didn't answer his calls during the transfer saga last summer. So Lautaro's reaction shouldn't be a surprise. And the same happened with others.

I would also be pissed if a colleague that i considered a friend avoided my calls and chose to hide.

Saw that he failed to convert a PK. Don't recall the last time that happened officially (there was that time last season but then he retook it)

Exactly. Because Mourinho will use it to fuel Lukaku and then Lukaku will go super saiyan against us.

Curva should just ignore.
This was not the case. If anything it seems that his confidence is ruined.

Romelu Lukaku failed to convert a penalty for the first time in his Serie A career after 14 successful attempts between Inter and Roma.

It is the first penalty Lukaku has failed to convert at club level since August 2017, when Manchester United were still able to beat Leicester City 2-0.
