It's ironic that he probably has the highest PK + poacher goals ratio of our last 5 main strikers, yet everyone thinks he's somehow complete or whatever. He also probably has the worst finishing, but people now use this 40 goals in 56 games as if it's something that we should hang on a wall. Check what % of the team's goals this amount is and when they're coming. You cannot just throw numbers and pretend they mean something.

Bastoni's header was probably going in and his interference could have cost us the point as he was possibly offside, I don't see anyone really bothered by this though.

We are playing a style of football that Conte dreamt of somewhere where the ball has to go to Lukaku whether as a lob or as a pass. Lukaku, a player who cannot really win an aerial duel as he cannot position himself to even make it a duel, cannot trap the ball well, cannot control it or direct it. Sure, he has a shitload of touches. That doesn't mean much. Who cares if he's involved or whatever? It usually does more damage than good anyway. His role needs to be reconsidered and he needs to play closer to the goal. He doesn't help there and he cannot utilize his speed from a deeper spot as much as Conte thinks he can.

The second goal today came from lukaku winning and trapping the ball, getting it out wide, a cross coming in then forcing a good safe that led to the corner we scored from. There's countless examples of this.
Everyone liked to talk about eriksen on international duty as well, lukaku was a beast for Belgium too. Lukaku is a top class striker, I don't know why inter fans are so against that...

Meh, I usually criticize him alot but he scored 2 goals today; he's definitely the least of our concern. Our main concern is our stubborn 12m a season coach. Conte is here to stay, at least for this season so this guy will "thrive" because everything is so focused around him, which is ironic because everybody was complaining that everything was focused around icardi.

Problem is, lukaku and conte are tied together. You're not getting this from lukaku unless conte is the coach or we go sign the whole damn Belgium NT with all those playmakers

Yes Lukaku has a lot of our build up play ran through him, but at least he’s capable of it. Icardi was completely worthless at everything except scoring goals. Conte is unfortunately so obsessed with using lukaku’s hold up play that it’s hurting us imo.
