Would you buy Lukaku this summer?

I love being assigned useless projects when I have nothing else to do :D

Will get on it.
Just curious. The stat is obviously not flattering, but its also meaningless without context. I'd love to see that ratio for a number of other key strikers. Salah, CR, Ibra, Benzema all jump to mind I think?

re your edit, I think we need to comparer it to like-for-like eras in football. We're pretty high scoring now compared to back then, and it feels only natural to me that if you score more goals, but the points totals are comparable, then the ratio of impactful goals vs 'non-impactful' ones will decrease.

Also, how do you define it? Is it against the final score line - e.g. if he scores the 4th goal when we're 4-0 up but go on to win 4-3? Or is it at the point of the goal being scored, e.g. opening the scoring on a 4-3 win?

I respect him for admitting his mistake. But what a dork this guy is. Chasing the dream there now?

And what a fucking dumb thing to say this coming back bs. Imagine how Chelsea management, Tuchel and Chelsea fanbase are feeling right now? Management must be so happy, throwing 115m€ to get this guy only six months ago and now he's shooting this kind of comments.

Seriously, Pastorello must be fucking fuming at the moment. Or then, he just doesn't care because he already did the deal of his lifetime last summer.

which is true of lautaro and dzeko as well...

but like i said new system and like plaers said they have more freedom this year. no more run for one guy(and we see whatt it means when nobody runs for him)and dzeko has more assists then lukaku had for two years because that what simone wants from him and laut as well. would lukaku accept that hell no his bitching and moaning in that twitter post about system proves it

The idea is that anything after a 2 goal lead, which secures a win, is less important.

If I wanted to do it more professionally I'd use weighted data but I cannot be bothered as much  Basically a 3 goal cushion is important as it kills the game, but it doesn't really add value points wise. One goal down and you're still not at risk for losing the lead. So essentially scoring a goal to make it 4-0 should count less than scoring the opener or the 2-0 goal.

Also, PKs are exaggerated. They sure are a goal scored, and we have been unlucky with our conversion rate without Romelu, but at the end of the day it's a set piece that doesn't reflect merit. They give a 78% expected goal rating iirc, so if everything was weighted perhaps PK conversion should also give that instead of a full 1.00, as ridiculous as it may sound :D

Loan with 50% of net wages we could discuss tbh but not more than that. Wed also need to think about how we free up the money, maybe selling dzeko to Newcastle after all lola

Well, fucking Pastorello started the whole thing a couple of weeks ago when he said that Lukaku will return to Italy in the future. Players are not married to their clubs forever but still the timing of awful - Chelsea spent 115 millions for him summer .

I would hang this guy if he is acting like this and I paid that kind of money for him .

We have a cohesive group and a good room. Not smart to bring in someone who blabs on social media. It could be very disruptive to the team. Kinda like bringing back Dickardi and his bag of bullshit drama. I loved the guy, but he is gone. Move on!

there were never any signs while he was at inter of him causing disharmony, IMHO, aside from the fucking hell moses moment which was actually funny more than anything.

People need to chill.

Honestly, i dont know why this guy get so much hate here, he did really nice things here and he deserves a little appreciation for that in my opinion, even if he choosen to end his path here in kinda shity way..
I also think that he wont be the same without conte here, but with all the respect to our front, our really strong side this season is our midfield, lautaro still cant be trusted as our main goal scoring guy, dzeko at 36 and alexis 32, very far from thier prime and correa slowly will become sensi, anyway i dont think we gonna see him here despite all this...

Don't blame him for leaving but what's done is done. He should stay at Chelsea this year and pray Kane still wants out of Spurs in the summer. Not even Abromovich is spending 100 plus million on a player and loaning him out 6 months later. Could see him joining juve this summer.

reason i do not want him is because no team usess this a system anymore where whole team works for one player to tap in goals. that is a reason he can not score agaist top half teams but can score against bottom teams. because top half teams will not allow other players to create chances for him because they have as good players as inter. so playing against top teams requires for you to create chance for ou or others and he can not do either and system he is good at is so outdated and flowed that nobody is using i
