I am a Lukaku fan but he’s got to shut up haha. He needs a pr person who can silence him.

I would happily take him back for a reduced price and pay, though. Y’all wild for not wanting such a talent.
Oo yea? He is not worth the price at his current salary; as many have said here, I'd take Vlahovic anyday

I can't take Lukaku back. If we had the money to take him back we have money to buy Vlahovic and I get Vlahovic before Lukaku every day and twice on Sundays.

And seriously, that return to Inter is just prep talk for a return later in his career. And that would make zero sense for Inter because his salary is way too high even after few years.

His goal stats were great but our game was DESIGNED for that to happen. Basically all the other players played for him, more or less. We don't NEED him.

And like said, with the money it would require to have him, we can get better return on the investment.
This is just bullshit. Lukaku was our best player ( yes he was before dumb and dumber Brehme and Bubba chime in) so we played to his strengths sure but the whole team did not suffer at all.

If you want to look at a player who a team was designed for and made others worse look at Ronaldo at United and Juve. Lukaku was not the case at all

Absolute wanker, that 115mil (!!!!!!!) is starting to feel even more of a masterclass move.

And that whining about not playing so much at Chelsea, I mean seriously WTF? Dude started all of their games from the start of the season, then got injured for a month and when he came back we was used 4 times as a sub, and then the interview apparently happened. 4 times as a sub when coach is easing you back into the team after injury and you go on and moan like a fucking bitch about it in a public interview? What a fucking douche.

:palm:
I don’t think his complaints were regarding his playing time, but about how he was used in Tuchel’s system.

I take it he got frustrated being utilized as a lone forward (we all know he’s significantly better as part of a strike duo). From what I saw at Chelsea he was quite isolated up front and spent all game keeping the defenders occupied while making space for the playmakers behind him. I also noticed Havertz and Mount never passed to him, even when he made the right runs. I don’t blame him for being frustrated for that, even Conte came out and said that Tuchel is not using Lukaku properly. Obviously he should discuss that with the coach in private though.

Anyway, Cafe is 100% right. Even if we did have the money to get Lukaku back, even on favorable terms, almost everyone would prefer that money be spent on Vlahovic.

Hypothetically, next season, if Dzeko is (hopefully) relegated to a bench option, and realistically, being unable to afford Vlahovic, would we prefer Scamacca or Lukaku? (on favorable terms) I think there’s a discussion to be had there.

That’s the only scenario I can envision any realistic discussion or circumstance for his return.

And he deactivated his Twitter before Christmas. He know what he’s doing. He doesn’t like Tuchel and wants Tuchel gone. If club backs the coach, he will be out of Chelsea even with long term contract ahead or Tuchel has to change to suit him. Chelsea couldn’t treat him like Kepa. He’s good in all ways. Inter is just a card he uses to get what he wants. I’m not surprised if he’s happy ending up with Juve.

If Inter gets him back, it would only on loan, 50% wage. The ship has sailed.

I don’t believe this was a mistake or some oversight. It was calculated. Just wondering who else is in on it.

It's Chelsea. Kicking out a successful manager is part of the drill.

But he hasn’t even been there for a season. If he was there for over a full season and Tuchel was benching him I would understand.

But during his short time at Chelsea he probably was not chosen maybe at most a handful of times.

It’s too short a period for him to come out. Unless he is cooking something

This guy is so fucking dumb and immature...its really surprising that he is 28 and acts this way. Not only did he manage to piss off and hurt our entire fanbase by his shitty exit...he now managed to burn bridges with the very people who continued to defend and support him against valid criticism and also trolls on social media.
I was not pissed,I was celebrating big time.He is not that good like so many think he is and also, regardless, money was no brainer.

All of this Lukaku drama is so funny to me cause I was never his fan so I don't care about his words at all but god, this dude is a fucking idiot.

Feel bad for him. But honestly the question is not whether we could afford him or whether our system suits him. When he's back, he'd be 29. Even if we have the cash to offer him a 3-year contract, what do we do about him afterwards? His style of play relies on speed, which will decline gradually. With Dzeko at least we could use him as a target man to hold up play till he's 37.

Too big for small games, too small for big games... next please.
I rate him a lot for his grinta, speed, finishing, mentality... but let's face it, great scorer but not as great with the ball at his feet as somebody like Dzeko.
Really hope we go for Vlahovic as the Dzeko successor

Speak for yourself, many of "us" celebrated when he left and we are the one laughing now.

I don't watch alot of EPL, but wondering if he's struggling there because of physicality.
