I don't get the negativism in this thread, which is close to hate in some of the posts. Let's pay attention to the rumors that Inzaghi is pushing for Lukaku, and it looks like he prefers him over Dybala. If this is true, maybe he has some ideas how to use Lukaku better or at least Inzaghi thinks that he will be more effective than Dybala. The other thing is that we will get him on loan for one year. This contains much less risk that signing the injury prone Dybala for 4 years. About the costs. Dybala commands 6/7 mln net, which is about 12/14 mln gross + agent's fee + signing bonus most probably. Lukaku is rumored to cost us 10 mln loan + 12 mln gross wage, 22 in total. Sorry, but the difference is not so big, even in some conditions, Dybala may be even most expensive.

You dont want world class player, a fuckin superstar, for free.. You want Lukaku, good player who will never boost this team to do something big in CL, who cant do shit in big matches, and who is now totaly out of shape and form, no Cunte and Pintus this time. Next season, selling Skriniar and getting Acerbi or some similiar trash, and Lukaku instead Dzeko to boost our attack, while we have a chance to get fkn Dybala is pure shit of mercato. We lost fkn Perisic so we need one big player, and thats fkn Dybala right now. For a club that has no money getting Dybala is a massive, if we get only Lukaku for attack dont except scudetto season, expect at best season before that.

First of all Lukaku is bigger player than Dybala in pure anatomical term. And all of your other points are just a personal opinion. As I proved in my previous posts with some facts, Lukaku is safer bet, but in reality nobody really knows.
For me, the best solution is to get both of them, keep Skriniar and sell Lautaro for 90 mln., but obviously this won't happen anyway.

Lol Dybala was killing fkn Barca in CL, playing CL final with rube, was one of their best players for years. Thats a fact. And also is a fact that Lukaku flopped in ManU and Chelsea, no impact in CL ever, and was horse shit last season in PL. Cant compare these two. And we have chance to get Dybala for free, and we'll pass on it roflmao

How many years ago he was killing Barca in CL? I don't care where has flopped Lukaku, as he was great for Inter, just a season ago. He wasn't horse shit last season, he was decent before to make those stupid statements about Inter and etc. And our target for next season will be to make top 4 and to jump over the group stage in CL. My opinion is that Lukaku will have bigger impact than Dybala in Serie A in a long run, which for me is more important than some random games in CL, where Dybala could shine if he is not injured.

So our target is top 4. Ok. Lukaku will be just fine.

That was, respectively, 6 and 7 years ago. This isn't the young and sprightly Dybala we're talking about here, or else 1) he'd be one of the best players in the world and 2) we wouldn't be in the running. The (wo)man has 30 league goals in Serie A in four seasons - that's 17 less than Lukaku had for us in two (!) seasons. Even if you want to include assists in the same time-frame, Dybala only has 7 more than Romelu. That's 10 more total involvements in goals in half the time.
Dybala offers no guarantees or assurances, none what so ever. He'll come with a hefty contract, a demand of a four-year contract which means he has very little to no resale value at all for us in four years. Plus he's gotten injury prone.
Also, as much as you want to point the finger at Lukaku for being a primadonna - and you'd be right - Dybala is a despicable, cheating, diving bitch, who, on top of being the embodiment of what's wrong with modern football, frantically cried like a 3-year old cries when he drops his ice cream, after his last home match for Juventus. Lukaku at least supports Inter and went to the streets of Milano after the Scudetto, even though he chose Chelsea, while you get the feeling Dybala prefers Inter because his Argentine buddies are here.

Lukaku, even without Conte and Pintus, is very likely to bag at least 15 goals in Serie A - Dybala hasn't hit that target since 2017/2018. There's also less risk and less ressources in taking him on for a year for 10 million, than there is paying Dybala 6 million+1 million for four years + sign-on fee and money for his agent.

Dybala could turn out to be a shrewd market opportunity as much as it could turn out to be a costful mistake, whilst you'd be foolish to say no to Lukaku for a year at that price. There is a reason there were reports Bayern and the likes were interested.

I hear what you're saying but ...
Spalletti wanted Nainggolan
Conte wanted Vidal
Inzaghi wanted Correa. Seeing how this all went down I think that having some doubts isn't all that crazy.

This + the fact that this Lukaku deal is a loan which means that come back in 12 months, Lukaku might be gone, Dzeko, Sanchez are defo gone, which leaves us with the only Lautaro.
This + the fact that Lukaku is not in the same shape he was when he was at Inter and we don't have neither the same coach, nor the same staff to put him back in the best shape he has ever been in his carreer. So he is coming back in worse shape, 1 year older, with lower confidence, in a team with a totally different play-style. And he still costs a lot of money.

Compare it to Dybala who might be the actual technical player we've been missing for so many years and that we thought we would get in Correa, if he fails which I doubt given that even in this "bad season" he was still one of Juve's best players, he still has value because it's Dybala. A permanent deal for a free-agent player that otherwise we wouldn't have a chance to sign.

Missing Dybala because we went for a player that has a high chance of going somewhere else is such an Inter thing to do. If he flops, we'll let him go back to Chelsea and be their problem so we'll need to get another striker next year. And I mean who knows? Lukaku could also score 40 goals in the next season and then what? Then he might leave us in the mud like last year because someone offered him money or Conte wants him back and we'd still need another striker.

And how good was Lukaku before joining us two years ago? He was utter crap, and guess what, he was dominant here. Dybala would kill it if he comes here.

Lukaku didn't really flop at United. He scored goals there. He just didn't become the superstar they wanted so United fans being the spoiled way they are turned on him. And Lukaku being who he is turned on them in return. Solsjaer also played him off the RW his last year which made zero sense. He definitely did flop at Chelsea but I feel that was much more with his attitude than on field performance.

I would agree it's not great to have players with inflated egos and or attitudes on your team but I don't think his attitude will be an issue here. His ability to produce on the counter is literally game changing for a team who had absolutely zero on the counter last year. Didn't he just win Serie A MVP two years ago? I dont understand how anyone can sit here and say he'd be anything other than a massive return. If you dont like him thats fine. If you prefer Dybala thats fine. But if he does come back ill welcome him with open arms. If we could nearly win the league with whatever the hell Dzeko was the last half of the season im confident we can win the tile again. I'll make an exception for Brehme since he hated Lukaku to begin with.

What kind of logic is that?
Lukaku completely dominated Serie A defences - this enviroment - in a way you almost never see in his time here. Dybala hasn't even been close to the best player in his club, which plays in Serie A - this enviroment - in five years.

Plus didn't marotta himself say they aren't intertwined and the plan is to make a move for both?

I don't advocating for Lukaku. I'm just saying that he is less risky than Dybala. Dybala also could flop or get couple of injuries, which make him another Sensi for us. Then, all of the people that wanted him here will curse the person who gave him 4 years contract.

He flopped, no point sugar coating his time there.
