Thats some pretty low expectation, considering Perisic can't even beat players with his trademark technique + pace.

What exact use does he have other than defensive contribution seriously?

My first half of the post kinda explains that.

Peter Schmeichel and Oliver Kahn, best GKs I've ever seen of the past 30 years. The Son isnt as good as the father but those genes have run through.

No Zenga and no Pagliuca?

I can understand about Croatia...but, I lived in Poland for two years, and to hear a Polish person to root for Russia...is little surprising to me :D

You wont believe the amount of butthurt here sometimes. Morons calling for boycotting the world cup, people who have nothing to do with sports even calling for withdrawing the team because RUSSIA and Putin. Im no fan of Putin but some people here are blinded.

Our stupid idiot US puppet so called president decided not to go to our first game after the chemical attack in UK. Like a well trained dog reacts to a whistle. No ivestigation, no proof, but he already knows he's not going because solidarity with our "allies", what a moron

My first half of the post kinda explains that.

Not really, your first half post talk about reducing him to a substitution role. We can't really have that considering his wage is that high.

I was talking about my strategy for the next Croatia game, not for Inter. I said he, i meant their coach.

I think he should start with Brozo & Persic as subs and bring them on around the 55th-60th minute the next game. Its useless to have them from the beginning and tire them out and have no effective subs coming in.

This game also kinda showed me that Persic has / always will be more of a wingback / midfield winger than an attacking winger. No one should expect him to score or have any shots on target, in fact i am surprised that he has scored that much actually in his career.

I meant my first half of the sentence you quoted, not my post, my bad.

Right, I am always thinking about next season instead. I guess that's probably off topic.

Indeed, on the other hand, congrats to Denmark for making it to the Rugby World Cup quarter finals.

Well, with all due respect, I disagree. Croatia just seems tired..slow...lethargic etc..I don’t think mentality is the reason why they might loose this game
We can also say this World Cup...”Spanish mentality”...”Portuguese mentality”...”Argentinian mentality” etc...you get my point
U can' t disagree with this man

.It works in 99% of cases.Football, basketball, handball etc.Its a well known thing here, years of weak mentality in this kind of moments with just a few bright flashes.

Denmark :( I'm so sad. This nightmare will never end.

But my friend, loosing is not direct product of mentality....take a look at other nations, bigger and stronger then Balkan countries...they all loose...not one of them win every time....Mentality can play maybe 5% role on winning or loosing...there's much more and many more factors that decide, not mentality.
So i guess, from today's game we can say, Balkan mentality beats Scandinavian mentality :) jk...it was a good game from both sides..both fought hard, you cant say Croatia got lucky..not at all...if anything, Denmark got lucky with Modric's missed Pk in overtime....

Croatia 3rd favourite to win the WC now. Congrats to the Croats. Amazing achievement even though they got massively lucky today.

Also just noticed, that the top 3 favourites are France, Brazil, Croatia just like '98 :D. Too bad Holland's not here.

Now I know Modric isnt perfect, what a shit penalty taker he is smh even second penalty is soft af. This game just show good tactic >>>>> good player, smaller team like Sweden, Denmark and mexico show a good tactic can elevated your team and gives more chances to compete.

And I love seeing Scheimechel feeling proud to son and maybe wish he is the one at goalie lol

I felt this was one of the worst penalty shootouts I've seen at the World Cup level... only second to that time Brazil had 4 failures in the 2011 Copa America against Paraguay. How did so many guys not go towards the edge? Saw lots of center kicks and people giving away their direction. Only one legit save I thought by the Croatian side.

The way Scandinavian teams play is so appealing to me. Organized, disciplined, rational, no blunders and solid defense. These traits beat talent many times.

And many people on FIF think that taking a penalty is the easiest thing in the world ...
