He was a freaking legend, his goals carried us and thanks to him we were able to challenge the almighty Capello's Milan.

He was at Appiano today. He's a true Nerazzurri legend. I still remember an awesome double he scored in a 45 minutes game against Milan, in the summer trophy Giorgio Ghezzi. Awesome.

Wow, that game is surely mouth-watering. Those name bring back memories of the good old 90's. I really miss that soccer!

And thanks for Frisko to clarify one thing for me. A while ago, I thought Ruben Sosa was actually Paulo Sousa (who is in the BVB team of 97.) The latter played with us briefly, but left in bad terms around 98-99.

I never saw Ruben play, but it was great to hear about him.

He always had white tape on his socks, you would recognise him instantly, he was quick as phuck and he had superb technique, a gem of a player.

I can't believe it! I still have that one on tape, I just don't dare put it in the vcr cause it's so old it would probably break it!

2-0 against Milan, two amazing goals by Ruben on the counter, such a wonderful, soft touch to beat Sebastiano Merda Rossi, yeahhhh!

here is where Frisko hides the truth :D because of his love for Moratti.

Sosa left because of Moratti, Moratti didn't believe in Sosa and signed Bergkamp and he was misued, Bergkamp was played as a centre forward and compeltely wasted and Sosa was left on the bench and rightfully got angry. I think they left in the same year though.

I actually didn't know that, strange though, Sosa surely proved himself during his time at Inter.

Just for the record: Bergkamp was signed in 1993, two years before Moratti took over.

I'm pretty sure Moratti was the one who sold off Sosa and Bergkamp, and I was reading through wikipedia just now and it also says that Moratti had problems with Sosa.

Moratti had 'problems' with Sosa really doesn't sound right, you might want to double check your sources catanha.

Ruben Sosa: “Inter Was The Best Part Of My Career, Pellegrini’s Wife Thought I Only Joined For The Money”

Former Inter player Ruben Sosa has revealed that former president Ernesto Pellegrini’s wife believed he was only joining Inter for the money based off of the way he wrote his signature.

“Each stage of my career was important, but Inter was the best part of my career and I’m a fan of Inter and I had it in my heart,” he began an interview with Go Play Sports.

“When I signed my contract with Inter we were talking for two hours and my agent and the club president could not agree on the money. So I signed an autograph for the wife of the president, who was Pellegrini at that time.

“He got every player he was going to sign to write their signature so his wife could analyse it. And the way you wrote she could define your personality, and then she would recommend whether or not you would be good or bad for the club.

“For me she said no he’s not a good guy, he’s a horrible person, he only wants the money and he does not make friends.

“I replied by saying to the president that Inter, for me, were the best in the world.

“We proposed that if I scored less than 20 goals the club could pay me the money they wanted, whatever…$100, but if I get more than 20 goals then you have to pay me what my agent wants. I scored 24 and played three years in a row.”

He was then asked if winning the UEFA Cup with Inter in the 1993/94 season was the highlight of his player career to which he responded: “Winning the UEFA Cup with Inter was good, but the highlight of my career was winning the two Copa Americas with Uruguay.”

Sosa joined Inter ahead of the 1992/93 season from fellow Serie A side Lazio where he had spent the four previous years and made a name for himself in Italy.

The Uruguayan would go on to make 104 appearances across all competitions for the club during his time on the books in which he scored 50 goals and provided 10 assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.

He left Inter in the Summer of 1995 and joined Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund where he would spend a single season.

After spells with Logrones, Nacional, Shanghai Shenhua and Racing Montevideo, he called time on his playing career in 2007. He made 362 appearances across his career in which he scored 122 goals and tallied a total of 14 assists.
