A keeper is at their best when you barely notice them. Handanovic will also due some superhuman things other goalies could never.
Something that's often overlooked with Samir is how well he organizes the defense (something that's not so easy for a spectator to pick up on).
He's also gotten a lot better with his feet since Spalletti arrived and wanted to play out from the back. Not that he's the best in this aspect, but more than good enough and well rounded overall.

We had previously had senatorii like Cambiasso, Stankovic, Samuel, Materazzi, JC, Milito who could all provide mediation to temperamental shitters like Balotelli or Lautaro. Now, our "senior" members are (were?) Ranocchia, Brozovic, D'Ambrosio, Nagatomo, Perisic, Icardi...

Skriniar is still young, de Vrij seems like a quiet dude and according to Spalletti is "a sensitive guy" Godin is new, and everyone else sucks. Handanovic is not only the best choice, but really the only choice.

Though I do get your point. It's why Mourinho wanted someone other than Casillas to be captain - to deal with on pitch issues and talk to the ref etc.

Very well said. It's great that the players' standards are higher now and that they're not getting carried away with the results.

This is one of the reasons that I really really really hope we could win the title this season.
For me personally, I don't mind if we don't win it this season and I'm not expecting it however this guy needs to lift a trophy.

Inter has let him down year after year after year it's about time we repay him for what he's done for us.
