but he is good with ball in his feet lol he will pass it out of danger lol. onana is good in nothing if he was he would be barca they would not cut him
Onana had insane reflexes but that's about it from top level goalkeeping. His liabilities outnumber his strengths.

What in the circle jerk is going on in here? Get ready for our new goalkeeper to also concede when there is a 3 way miscommunication between CBs and the goalkeeper? That’s not a good reason to keep our 37 year old declining goalie.

Where's the circle jerk?

The goal wasn't Handanovic's fault. It was Skriniar anticipatinh the ball completely wrong. He lost to Immobile simple as that (maybe there was a minor foul also but whatever). Handa tried to save what there is to be saved but couldn't react fast enough. I think that was still the correct call as 1v1 with Immobile would have been a goal anyway had he stayed in the goal.

I guess the error in Handa was he reacted too late but that call had to be made in a split second.

Totally agree with Cafe.

Also whoever gave Handa a 4.5 rating in GDS, what's he smoking?

Inter Defender Milan Skriniar: “Lazio’s Goal Was Everyone’s Fault, Myself Included”

Inter defender Milan Skriniar isn’t hiding from responsibility for his role in the goal that the Nerazzurri conceded against Lazio this evening.

Speaking to InterTV after the match, the 26-year-old emphasized that the error that gifted Biancocelesti striker Ciro Immobile an easy finish to temporarily equalize was a collective mistake.

In the end, the goal that Inter conceded did not have any bearing on the result, as Skriniar himself headed home a winner during the second half to make sure that the team took all three points from the clash.
However, the mix-up at the back made things nervier than they needed to be, and the Slovenian knows that it was an error that could have been costlier.

Goalkeeper Samir Handanovic allowed Ciro Immobile to get to a pass over the top and score, but the defenders and the entire team also misread the situation to allow the striker through, and Skriniar is aware that this was a mistake.

“We made a mistake, not just the defenders,” he said. “The whole team, someone could have cut out the ball.”

“I could have gotten to it, but I thought Samir or Stefan would,” he added, “and they also got the situation wrong. It’s a mistake of the whole team, we could have done better but even today we showed our character.”

I like it how we're now talking single goal conceded as some big episode or event as we've went without conceding for weeks and weeks. :D

Handanovic on the arrival of Onana: "It doesn't bother me, competition in the role is welcome. I think about the present"
Does this mean the management didn't decide (and tell him) that he isn't going to be #1 next season?

Or he knows that this is the best answer to give as the club captain halfway through the season. Were you expecting him to slag off Marotta?

he knows he is old and that a new primary GK would come sooner or later

he can stay at Inter, play a few games and win a few more titles

Gds saying we will offer an extension with lower salary.
We already have. The question is whether Handanovic will consider it.

It’s a risky move to sign a new goalkeeper mid-season and it might backfire badly at us

What I’m saying is signing a new goalkeeper mid-season (and everyone knows that we’ve already signed Obama) might negatively affect Handanovic’s mental state and motivation during the most crucial time of a season so we are taking some risk by doing that

Edit: it’s Onana, not Obama. Fuck you autocorrect

Why? It's not like Handa is 30 years old and still has half of his career in front of him. This is an opportunity Inter chose to take, I'm sure they tried for some Serie A goalkeepers as well..

Brehme thinks it's a bad idea, I still don't know if I like Onana, our management thinks he's good enough to give him a try. We'll see. Tbh I'd rather have a Serie A goalkeeper, somebody that already speaks Italian and knows all the main threat players Serie A teams have.. but I guess saving money here so we can have more money to spend on a striker could be a good idea. Let's see if that actually happens.

We've been monitoring guys like Cragno, Dragowski and maybe a few others, but that's the level of Serie A gk's we were after.

Onana is on a similar level, tbh.

We missed out on Musso already, cannot really say there's a Serie A keeper I like very much. I'd prefer us to make a move for Martinez from Aston Villa but they'll be asking a lot.

Unai Simon is the only legit GK I consider.

Brehme, Have you ever played ”termatofilako”?

If so, the position is yours!
