It's not a 'transition' year. Their seasons are always different to the European ones due to the extreme weather they face in winter.

That's right, this is a transitional season in RPL and other leagues. The entire history before the formation of a single championship in 1936 and after championship in all leagues began in the spring and ended in the fall. But our officials (no brains) wanted to do in most leagues in Europe (autumn - spring). So this season is 1.5 years and 44 rounds with 16 clubs. The end of the season in May 2012. After the first 30 rounds of league divided into two groups of 8 teams (the best play each other 14 rounds for the title and eurocaps, the worst for to leave the league).
And you know what is the main reason that the best clubs to play in summer tournaments in the commercial. Idiots, will work well CSKA, Spartak, Zenit, Dinamo extra 5 million euros, and why others 100 clubs to play in December and February at -20C? We as fans do not need a this commertial football.
