I don't understand why people are saying eto'o left for money, that's not why he left because inter management wanted to sell him to be in compliance with uefa ffp. There were never talks about eto'o leaving when season was over and not until the end of the summer then suddenly moratti said there is a good offer and inter will take it so eto'o was sold, and at the same time he got a increase in his wages. That's not his fault that's management and the fact that we are in a financial situation.

Moratti gives a shit about Inter more than any of us more than likely. This club isn't just a plaything for him. It's the club he's supported his entire life, it's the club he's poured hundreds of millions into and people are still critical of him just because he isn't splashing the money like he used too. I find it very facepalm worthy indeed when people write that Moratti "doesn't care"...

As for fielding another player as great as Eto'o in this decade? Well it's only 2011 innit? Great players come and go but the club will always remain. I love Samu but he's gone and it's time to move on.

It can be said without question he loves the club, but that still doesn't mean that we should ignore the fact that he's hurting the club now.. we are not prepared for the FFP, which HE HIMSELF was one of the biggest proponents of, the future is approaching and due to Moratti's own mismanagement, which brought us a period of great joy, we're set for an even longer stretch of mediocrity, where we would become a laughing stock, which again has to do with Moratti's words: "the offer is enticing", "we will spend in the market" (but he sells anyways), "our squad is good enough to repeat", etc. etc...

Were Milan fans ungrateful to protest against Berlusconi for doing the exact same thing a few years ago? (Berlusconi did it better though, He actually got a respectable amount of money for a crocked Kaka).. And up until last summer, I never thought Moratti was even capable of doing that, I knew the days of extreme spending were over, but what he is doing now has taken us from the pinnacle of Europe's elite to a club, that is only feared because of it's name.. a club, where us fans feel fear when facing any of Europe's even decent clubs, a club who sells quality players for low prices and replaces them with no future at the club.. (can you really say replacing Eto'o with Forlan does us any good - now or later?) Moratti has no plan, no strategy... He has no solution to get us out of this hole he has put us in.. He has met his aspirations and right now he is content with no longer doing what it takes to win.. and I'm fine with that, (we can't always win..) but why can't he enforce this "youth revolution" he's trying to get us to believe?

Forlan, Palacios? Why are we linked them? These players will not benefit us at all! Castagios, Alibec -- use them as back ups, but hell no, that won't happen under Moratti, he's going to spend cheap and HOPE that we win..

To be honest, I don't understand the full workings of the FFP, but surely there has to be a reason why clubs who are already in the negative spending paying no regard to it..

You don't think the inter management have tried to sell pandev. They probably would if a team came and offered to buy pandev. I agree that i wanted eto'o to stay and that inter management should have sold our other players like muntari, pandev and milito to allow eto'o wages/salary to offset or not weigh down inter's financial so much but, no team came with such an offer. Just look at muntari we have loaned him out so much, yet no team wants to keep him after seeing how good he plays while on loan, meaning that inter is stuck with him until his contract expires or a team gives us an offer for him, same goes for others like pandev and milito who were good in past but with injuries have made it hard for them to come back to peak condition.

I think if eto'o had turned down the offer inter management would have been pissed b/c they are the ones that you can say sought this offer, when moratti went on to say to journalists and media everyone's sellable on inter if the right price comes on the able, which he said back when the whole rumors of Man U wanting to buy sneijder happened at the beginning of the summer. If he had not said that maybe anzhi would have never approached inter for eto'o, who knows. I think moratti also made it a definite that eto'o go to anzhi when he said to media he has gotten a offer we can't refuse making it to me, seem like inter didn't want eto'o any more b/c they said it was an offer we can't refuse. If i was eto'o in that situation I would think I guess my times up b/c the boss moratti has said this is an offer inter will not refuse meaning I am already gone, at best I can hopefully get a good wage since my current team has basically decided thats it for me.

Yeah its bad that the best striker in the world just left our team but, you have to remember its b/c of the UEFA FFP policy why we did such a move.

I think the whole thing with this youth revolution moratti is trying out now for the squad, comes from looking at Barcelona who for many years before all the titles recently won, use basically a youth farming system to create the players they wanted to make there team right now into. Currently barcelona is set up into an 100% positional style of approach to football where there team is like 90% technique (controlling, short passing, moving into space) and 10% physical (defending, marking, stamina and endurance), that style of play works well in La Liga but in Serie A that style of play won't work b/c Serie A is built on both defense and attacking and not all out attacking which is what I think La Liga is about. (Hence why I feel La Liga is the weakest of the european leagues b/c its basically an all out attack league, while the hardest league in europe is serie A.) With Barcelona's system there defense is keeping the ball away from the opponent not actually physically running down a player and boding them off the ball (don't get me wrong they do that, but they can't keep up such a thing all game b/c that would break the positional style of play they have for there team. What I think moratti wants to do is use his youth farming system to develop inter youth players into a particular style of playing in which they work well when they make it to inters first team.

"Everything went well here. Inter are one of the best clubs in the world, the best in Italy. I had an opportutnity to win it all thanks to my incredible teammates, sharing the joy."

Is there a person you want to thank in particular?
"I want to thank so many people and especially Moratti. I'll be brief even if you can only say the best things of this world about him. "I don't watch the other teams. Milan should win if we look at how the last championship ended, but for me Inter are the strongest team and I expect them to do well. I hope they can fight and win the championship."

Other than football, what will you take with you from Italy?
"Everything. The support of the people and the affection. They've made me feel like a part of the Italian family. And then all the players that I've met that I didn't know, they've always respected me and made me feel like a good player. It was an opportunity to grow as a footballer and as a person."

Tell us about the last days, what emotions did you feel?
"I've always said that the best needs to come in life, and when an opportunity comes and God has given it to you. I accept it because it's him who has given me everything I have in my life."

Is the Italian football happy according to you?
"In the last year yes, even though the Spanish football is at top. I must say before coming here I had another picture of the Italian football, but I'm happy because it's not as they describe it and I hope the people and especially you journalists really describe the Italian football as it is. Is there an an opponent you'll be happy not to face anymore?
