Season 2010/2011 expectations for Rafa

Ok here's the deal. I wanted to create this thread before the friendlies, to have a fresh opinions without even Rafa "touching" the friendlies, but wasn't able to create a poll before. I also wanted to do it before friendlies, because it would be as fresh after winning the trebble as possible, and this is what interests me.

What might be your expectations after winning the treble ? I mean, this is a big achievenment, and everybody might have their owns "mins" and "maxims" for the following season.

Thankfully I can do it before our first official game and so here it is:

This thread is created to get the opinions in general, not basing much (although this might not be possible to avoid) on the mercato deals, on our new season under the new coach.

The question is simple:

"What are the satisfactory expectations from Rafa for next season ?"

What he has to do for you to be a satisfactory season, that you will not be dissapointed, and that you will be happy to continue the work (if you say things like, I want to give him one more year, it means this season was not satisfactory for you).

Take a note, I don't mean bare minimum, as probably we will all agree on scudetto thing. I mean somewhere in the middle between a bare minimum for you, and a very satisfactory season.

The poll is created for multiple choice, so that you can pick more than one, and it is an open poll, so that we can see who chose what. Obviously people can discuss it here, if they want, and as we might have different expectations for CL campaign (satisfactory stage) you guys can put it in your posts to get some glance.

BTW, choose wisely. I know winning 6 trophies is tasty, but if Rafa won't win say SuperCoppa Italiana, but win other, will make it bad season from him ?

For me a satisfactory season would be winning the scudetto and a cl semi. Plus italian super coppa,euro super cup and club world cup.

Satisfactory: Scudetto, club world cup, one fo the supercups and CL knockouts

Anything above satisfactory is great, I would think it was a perfect season if we won the 2 super cups and the world club cup aswell as the scudetto.

I would be satisfied with: Italian Supercup, European Supercup, FIFA Club World Cup, and Serie A.

And definitely semi finals in CL.

Scudetto, and both coppas as you don't have many chances of that.

As for the CL, I would like at least 1/4 taking that we will have easy group, and we should get someone from the second place of their group in 1/8 which I expect to pass.

So 1/4 in CL is satisfactory for me.

My expectations for 2010/11: Scudetto, AT MINIMUM the semi-finals of the Champions League and the World Club Cup. Admittedly whoever we are playing, provided we get through the final against some pub team from nobbynowhere, from South America in the latter could be very good and so I'll leave that one as a hope. If Benitez doesn't deliver on the first two he can clear off.

That doesn't mean I don't think we can win the European Super Cup, the Supercoppa Italiana, and the Coppa Italia, just that if he delivers on the first two and particularly on the three that will be enough for me.

We have to win the Scudetto, Italian Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup. As far as the Champions League goes, I'll be pleased if we reach the semis.

I will be satisfied with Rafa if he manage to win Scudetto, 2 out of the 3 Super Coppa (preferably European and CWC), semi CL and Coppa Italia

Bare Minimum: Scudetto, 1 out of the 3 Super Coppa, quarterfinal CL

The only two titles that really matter are scudetto and champions league. All the other stuff are just nice bonuses. If for example we don't win the scudetto nor the champions league, but win both supercups, world club championship and coppa italia, then the season would be a failure! The bare minimum and satisfactory season is to win the scudetto.

Satisfactory: CL semi, Coppa semi. Also three cup (supercoppa, uefa super cup, fifa cwc) just coz i do not want to hear anything from that certain part of spain who will say that they are the only one who can get 6 trophies in a season.

I just voted and saw Scudetto received 100% of the votes so far. To many people I think this is the minimum.

Beside Serie A, I really hope we win the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup. How many chances would you have in these two. However, like Jose said, these two cups belong to Jose more than Rafa. The tickets to these competitions are much harder than the cups themselves.

Scudetto is a must, if we dont win the league Rafa should be sacked. The league is so poor thats there is no excuse for not walking it. There is only Roma to beat.

The minor trophies like Super cup ita, FIFA club and UEFA cup should also be expected.

CL quarter final would be satisfactory.

It's clear that the TIM Cup should be our primary focus.
