Seba was great against Atalanta yesterday. You can see he has something special. Great technique, great vision, was working his ass of too. He’s just a joy to watch. He has the talent the succeed at the top imo. But has he the mentality? That’s the big questionmark.

We have changed our policy in the last couple years. Instead of buyback clauses, we just settle for future sale percentages in most cases. The only Inter youngsters who have buyback clauses right now are Fabbian, V. Carboni and A. Stankovic. Zanotti, S. Esposito, F. Stankovic, Mulattieri, Oristanio only have future sale percentages. Di Gregorio also had just a future sale percentage.

Well, it makes sense based on the club evaluation of the players, doesn't it? Buybacks kept on players we rate and might have interest in cycling back on in the future, sell-on clauses for those we don't think are gonna make it here, the sell-on is just a little extra financial kick-back in the future if they move clubs again. Admittedly, with what Seba is (now) showing and Filip's performances at Venezia, there's no guarantee we're gonna nail every evaluation. At the same time, maybe the Seba's and Pina's of the world are happier as starters at smaller clubs than as reserves here, and there's nothing wrong with that.
