Pedro is quite a player but if he isn't so selfish he will be even better.

spain dominated 100%. germany future looks bright with those young players anyway.

first time an european team wins wc outside europe, and first time one of holland and spain wins the world cup, this is history.

As i expected spain won quite easily.

A shame Spain can score so few goals and not really impress, yet still cruise the WC.

No chance for Holland either.

It's one game anything can happen.

The Swiss beat Spain with great defending and dangerous counter attacks, and then Paraguay who pressured them hard and who SHOULD'VE beaten Spain but got screwed by the refs..

The Duth can defend AND attack, Van Marwjik needs to choose the right option.

Forza Sneijder no one deserves this more than him.

I may be alone, but does anyone else hate the so-called "beautiful game" that Spain plays?? They look like Barcelona, tons of useless possession, pass pass pass that eventually leads to a pass back to the goalkeeper. I know it is unreal how they hold possession, but this kind of football is not beautiful to me, it is very boring and I feel that a great manager could easily stop it, like Mourinho and Hitzfeld were able to do.

In my opinion Spain were more fun to watch in the final 5-10 minutes where they kept counter attacking quickly with out worrying about losing possession in their attacking half....

As Azzkikr, I am guessing Spain win the trophy with another boring 1-0 or 2-1 win. The only thing that is good is that I feel van Marwijk is a better manager than Löw. At least the Netherlands boss has European hardware at the club level, Löw has only managed to win an Austrian League and DFB-Pokal. Unfortunately, I do not think van Marwijk is strong enough to beat Spain however...

Agreed. I feel like I'm watching a hockey game or a bad basketball team. They pass it around the blue line (hockey) or three-point line (basketball) and when they try and penetrate, they get bumped back out and repeat for 80 minutes until they score a lucky one (off the post a couple times, defensive breakdown) and then pass it around in the back for 15 minutes to end the game. It's awful to watch. To be honest, I actually missed most of the first half, I fell asleep.

spain has more direct football than barça which is more "touch and touch", the last 10 mins spain was doing counters cause germany was all the way attacking, in the first 70 minutess of the game 9 of the 11 players from germany were defending.

I agree with you Vito. Their game is quite disgusting for me.

Anyway, I never get is how Madrid and Barca players pretend to hate each other for the whole season. Next thing, they play like they're soul mates in the NT. I find it funny.

Agreed. I've said it before: Some people get hard-ons looking at 80-20 ball possession but it means nothing.

One thing that you have to credit that style though, is that it's bloody hard to play against. Just imagine playing and having to maintain disciplined defensive positions all the time. Unless the team is really a TEAM, like ours last season, that style of play is pretty effective.

Spain have the ball possesion not just they have good passing skills and techinque ,but because middfielders run like mad men .They play great defence in the middle of the field(pressing the oposition players all the time)they don't allow the opposition players to pass more than 3-4 times.Thats why they had the ball possesion.

I don't find it funny at all.It is something called NT....They love their country more than the team..It is normal.
