Btw saying that he's our best LB isn't a compliment because the other two have been garbage, but still considering his age and experience..

It does not mean Miangue is bad. Unless the loaned player SIGNIFICANTLY better than ALL players at the same position of destination club, they will keep him as backup at most. Otherwise they just use their own youngster. Understandable though, Cagliari benefit nothing if Miangue develop (and return), better to use Murru.
That's the reason why we should not loan players to mid-table Serie A teams, but Serie B.

No. This isn't an Inter thing. This is a coach thing.

He certainly would have been given more chances under Frank, especially with Nagatomo being utter garbage.

What you say is true and I agree with you, but the club still has a big say in transfers (loaning out Miangue) specially with a short-term caretaker (Pioli). The club has specifically declared this summer that they seriously want to start a youth project. They've started out very well with De Boer, but then contradicted their own words once they've brought in Pioli and went back to the usual Inter that favors old turds like Palacio and Nagatomo over the its own promising youth products. The club should've cleared out their youth strategy to Pioli if they were serious about it.

There's no excuse whatsoever to play Palacio and Nagatomo over Pinamonti and Miangue. That's a typical Inter thing that we see every season combined with dull weak Italian managers like Mancini and Pioli. The first crackhead wanted to sell Miangue immediately last summer while second prefers Ansaldi and Nagatomo over him. That's a normal thing at Inter. De Boer, however, has given him and other youngsters actual and proper playing times at the expense of useless and under-performing players.

De Boer was out of Inter's style in this specific department. Despite his awful time here, at least he's tried something different and unique at Inter and was a fresh breath of air. Not something you usually see in Inter.

I honestly think we should have kept him. Sure, he's young and inexperienced but from the little I've seen of him, he seems to have decent technique, a physical player, and some potential. That, on its own, puts him miles ahead of Nagatomo. He should've been getting all of the minutes that Nagatomo has, and I still have no idea why we let him go.

Now, if we did let him go, why send him to Cagliari? I've never thought of Cagliari being a team to promote young players, so if we were to send him somewhere, why not Sassuolo?
