Congratulations to ex Inter player Sergio Conceição on winning the Portuguese championship with FC Porto arty:

Conceição becomes the second Interista to win the league in Europe this season after Dejan Stanković.

Sérgio Paulo Marceneiro da Conceição (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsɛɾʒiu kõsɐjˈsɐ̃w̃]; born 15 November 1974) is a Portuguese former footballer who played mostly as a right winger, and the current manager of Porto.

Having won more than 50 caps for Portugal, Conceição represented the nation in one World Cup and one European Championship. In 2012, he started working as a manager, winning two league titles for Porto.

Conceição joined S.S. Lazio and played a significant part in their 1998–99 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup success, while also scoring five goals in 33 games in his first season in Serie A. He also helped the team to a Scudetto, a Coppa Italia (in a 1999–2000 conquest of the double) and the 1999 UEFA Super Cup.

In July 2000, Conceição transferred to Parma A.C. as a makeweight in Hernán Crespo's transfer, along with Matías Almeyda.

In July 2001:Trasnfermarkt writes that AC Parma player was bought by FC Internazionale for €18.00m.

He was used in the same fashion in the transfer of Sébastien Frey, which saw him go to Inter Milan while Frey went in the other direction. After two seasons and a good number of starts, he would eventually leave Inter by mutual agreement and re-joined Lazio, leaving for former club Porto towards the end of 2003–04, again by mutual agreement, and adding his third Portuguese national championship.

I remember his time at Inter being characterised by a distinct lack of confidence and not being able to do the simplest of tasks as a wingman. In a way, I felt Quaresma followed in his footsteps.

Ahhh I also remember how enraged I was that he couldn’t just beat his man with speed or a dribble or cross the ball into the box consistently, and I didn’t even follow him when he played at Parma where it was reportedly said that he balled like a beast. So I guess it really is just like Quaresma - whack career at Inter.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports Sergio Conceicao will replace Gennaro Gattuso at Napoli and should be presented in the coming days.

The Partenopei confirmed Gattuso will leave Naples and the newspaper reveals FC Porto coach Conceicao is set to replace the former midfielder.

The Portuguese tactician, who finished second in the Primeira Liga and eliminated Juventus from the Champions League, will be presented in the coming days, according to the report.

Napoli finished fifth in Serie A this term and will thus play in the Europa League next term.

Conceicao returns for his first coaching job in Italy, but has previously played in Serie A during stints with Lazio, Parma and Inter.

The 46-year-old has spent four seasons with Porto, winning the League twice and one Portuguese Cup.

EDIT: ADL denied the report, saying that he never even spoke to Conceicao and coach has been found already (probably Spalletti).
