Isn’t that more then Icardis current contract release clause? Those are all super optimistic numbers

I see everyone being use as part of a trade for a better player.

No, that is exactly Icardi's release clause. And yes those numbers should be optimistic, why would Inter put them on a sale at a discount? The discounts will probably happen during negotiating.

Trading them for better players is the best way to go for Inter. However it can be harder to close such deals as players can always refuse to be a part of it.

Of the list, I only want to see Vecino stay. He would be a very useful backup and impactful coming off the bench.

» AM: Rodrigo De Paul / Josip Iličić [both feet, high IQ] / Juan Mata [free] / Zaniolo / Rafinha

Roma have reportedly made an offer for Atalanta’s Slovenia international Josip Ilicic, but are unwilling to meet the €50m asking price.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Giallorossi see Ilicic as the perfect reinforcement for next season and have already made an offer to the Bergamo-based club.

However, the negotiations have stalled, as the Orobici value the player at around the €50m mark and would not be willing to sell for anything under €40m, while the capital club wants to deal at a lower price.

The 31-year-old’s performances this season has attracted the interest of several top Italian and foreign teams, and he has been a major contributing factor in La Dea’s rise into the top four.

Ilicic had already been heavily linked with a move to Roma in January, but Atalanta refused to sell.

Well, Ilicic > Perisic last two seasons. Perisic is valued at 40-45M around here and is on relatively high wages, I don't see why not ask 40-50M for Ilicic. :yao:

Ilicic doesn't have much pedigree playing in a bigger club with constant pressure environment.

Honestly it's very difficult to say if he's just big fish in small pond type of player. At least all the directors of big clubs around the Europe thinks so (because he still plays for Atalanta).

While Inter are Umming and Aahing about De Paul and Bergwijn? I would be very annoyed if this is true. Spending 35m on De Paul is criminal if Lozano is available for 40m.

Corriere: Napoli strike €40m Lozano deal
By Football Italia staff

Napoli have reached an agreement to sign PSV Eindhoven and Mexico winger Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano for €40m, claims the Corriere dello Sport.

According to this morning’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport Campania, the deal for Lozano is done.

The paper states that Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, Coach Carlo Ancelotti and the player’s agent Mino Raiola sat down to thrash out the details of the transfer after they met to talk about Lorenzo Insigne’s future.

The Azzurri will reportedly pay €40m to the Dutch club while offering the Mexico international a five-year contract.

Lozano scored 21 times in 40 games in all competitions for the Red and Whites this term, along with 12 assists, before a knee injury cut his season short.

The 23-year-old has also been linked with Manchester United.

What make you think Lozano's better (and more suitable) than De Paul and Bergwijn?

Just by watching them play. Lozano is a more developed player attacking wise with a better end product out of the three. Bergwijn is a 21 yr old kid who has had his breakout season and has great physical attributes, but his end product is still quite inconsistent - he is in development. De Paul is the exact kind of hardworking winger we usually go for, who can at best score 5-10 goals a season - he will never be a 15 goal a season winger. Lozano can be that for Inter.

In summary, IMO:

- Lozano can be looked as a ready replacement for Perisic, we need at least a player like him if we are selling Perisic
- Bergwijn can be left winger for the future, like Martinez was last year. If we get him to compete with Perisic and eventually take over from him, then it makes sense
- De Paul is at best a back up player / squad player who can cover multiple attacking positions

Lozano close to Napoli, while we are linked to Edin Dzeko. This is sad.

Also a lot of PSV fans are saying that Bergwijn is better and potentially will be bigger than Lozano. Regardless, a good transfer for Napoli.

Great work by Napoli, just like that coup for Real trio in 2013. I like how they have an ability to get those highly sought-after players despite being tier2 club with garbage stadium.

At least Napoli already has CL football guaranteed. Inter is an unknown at this point.

This is what our squad looks like based on the rumours (above). I will update this as we go along, and keep it based on the best-case of the rumours we hear. Not the most likely rumours, but the ones I like the most. Lets see how this changes over the mercato.

Inter 2019-20

Dzeko:rollani: (Martinez)

Perisic (Bergwijn):star: - Nainggolan (Barella):star: - Chiesa:star: (Politano)

Brozovic (Valero/Emmers) - Gundogan:star: (Gagliardini)

Asamoah (Emerson):star: - Godin (De Vrij) - Skriniar (Ranocchia) - Danilo:| (D'Ambrosio)

Handanovic (Padelli)

OUT: - Icardi, Gabigol, Mario, Vecino, Dalbert, Karamoh, Keita, Miranda, Candreva, Cedric, Vrsaljko, etc
IN: - Chiesa, Bergwijn, Emerson, Danilo, Barella, Dzeko, Gundogan. Plus Politano.

Comments: I hope we are linked to a better striker than Dzeko. Also I am not sure about Danilo as a RB, we need a better quality starting RB. The rest I am happy with. Ideally I would like Inter to get rid of Perisic and replace him with a quality winger who is ready now (Bergwijn can be a good back up and one for the future, but he may not be ready now for a starting role).

*This is assuming Spalletti stays as coach, if the coach changes I will make changes to the formation. This is also assuming we will get rid of Icardi

We are dropping the 4-2-3-1 if Spalletti leaves. And we have no clue what the next formation will look like.

But I must say that I do not like what I just saw above :pazzini:

I don't think Lozano will succeed in Serie A.

De Laurentiis must be taking your advice: Report: Napoli pull Lozano plug

Napoli have reportedly pulled out of a deal to sign PSV forward Hirving Lozano this summer.

Corriere dello Sport claimed over the weekend that a €40m transfer had been agreed to take Lozano to Napoli.

However, state broadcaster Rai has since followed up that concerns over fitness and PSV’s excessive demands have put off the Partenopei.

The Mexican’s season is already over after he picked up a knee injury a few weeks ago.

Although he ends his campaign with 21 goals and 12 assists, his agent Mino Raiola would have already been informed of Napoli’s decision.

///

According to Valter De Maggio, the director of Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Trippier could soon be headed for the San Paolo, despite interest from Juventus.

“Both Napoli and Juventus are interested in Trippier,” De Maggio told the station. “Defensively he’s very strong. He’s even better than what Maicon or Cafu were defensively. He’s very close to joining Napoli.”
