Do you remember Junior Firpo, the Barcelona player who was valued at 40m during Lautaro negotiations? According to Spanish media, he's in discussions with Atalanta who have offered a 2m loan with option to buy for 18m.
I remember that people want to swap him + little cash for Lautaro.
Morata is a mediocre lone CF, but can be useful as a part of a front 3. He gives Juve the option of rotating CR7, Kulu and Dybala. Definitely a big improvement on Higuain.

Definitely not worth the 55m (if its an obligation) Juve seem to be spending on him. I don't understand why big clubs like Real, Chelsea, Atletico & Juve have spent so much money on Morata. This probably makes him the 2nd highest in all time total transfer fees after Neymar. Fucking mental!
Anelka?

Every time some team pays 50m for morata I think wow this deal will be remembered in infamy, only for another team to buy him for a bigger sum 1 year later after yet another shit season

Luka should be a starter as cb replacing Godin. Top Conte
"defender" in every thread:troll:
I'm very expensive, but for Inter I'll accept anything

Well, Conte made the best result we had since Jose. Sorry that I'm not falling in line with all the "realists" here who want Conte gone the next day. Even better, bring icardi back and lets go back to our old ways, being the "pazza" and joke all over the place.

Come on man, can you just stop that "who wants Conte out" thing. Really taxing stuff. You are talking it like it's some big part of the forum members who want Conte out the next day and make the whole thing a lot bigger than it really is.

Milan are signing Bodo Glimt left winger. I didn't watch the match. Was he that good?

There is a lot of negativity here on FIF against Conte and Marotta. Just go back to his famous meeting and how we "Switched" our transfer objectives. That means what? People would replace him instantly, had only it made sense financially. The only reason some people want him to stay is because we would be paying 2 coaches. That's it.

That's the perception I get which I'm entitled too. If we took a poll, maybe it wouldn't be like 90-10, but not everybody is posting as often as a portion of this forum, but that portion who posts a lot gives that impression.

Jens Petter has probably been the best player in the Norwegian league, altho that doesn't say much he's actually quiet decent.
Decent speed, good stamina and decent ballcontroll.

I dont expect him to do well his first season, but will probably play a few games.
He ain't nothing like Håland, they are WAY different in terms of talents.

Jens Petter have only had one good season in the Norwegian league, he was a benchplayer last year for Håkon Evjen that went to AZ Alkamaar. Håkon is a benchplayer in AZ now, so don't expect much from the players that are comming from the Norwegian League.

According to Sky, Paqueta is joining Lyon. In France they report the transfer fee is 20m. Milan had signed him for almost 40m in January 2019.

Didnt live up to the billing. Plus its covid times so cut our losses while we can. $20m is about his book value so arent technically making a loss.

Plus its reportedly $20m plus $5m in bonuses plus a percentage of resale. Which is a pretty decent deal in my opinion.

Money from his sale will be likely used to finance Fofana (we have supposedly put in a bid so fingers crossed)

But he was one of the best vs Milan in EL. Milan players couldnt cope with him as he scored and assisted that night. Only Calhanoglu was better than him. You never know when a player 'explodes' . That Evjen guy left and gave shot at Hauge. Now Bodo's frontline is the biggest in Norway. All 3 top of the scoring charts ( Zinkernagel , Junker, Hauge)

Hauge looks like he has the right mindset and obv talent to succeed. Little bit arrogant too. Training with Ibra makes him even more confident in his abilities. Very versatile too, RW/LW. Cheap , under the radar signing @4m€.

They are making bold moves on the market. Targeting younger players. It remains to be seen if they can get to top spots by the end of May or not.

I mentioned the tranfer fee you had signed him for to emphasize how poor of a job Leonardo did at Milan. It's about a discussion i had on the forum in the past. I agree it's a decent deal. Apart from the first 6 months, Paqueta has failed to live up to the hype.

Re Fofana, i read today Leicester have put in a 40m bid for him. Not sure you can afford him.

And here we are:
- buying radja for 24, willing to take 12
- buying skriniar for 34, willing to take ??
- buying vecino for 24, willing to take 12
and so on...

Wow. If we make such a terrible transfers with all our players then our coach must literally be a God to be in a position we are at (challenging the title contender).

Yeah

No doubt in hindsight Leo did a piss poor job. Both Paqueta and Piatek started out brightly but got wank in their second season. Maldini and co did a good job in selling them without too much of a loss.

I am actually really impressed with our transfer dealings tbh.

Tonali - 10m loan with 15m option and 10m in bonuses
Diaz - Dry loan (buy option to be discussed in the coming months)
Saelemakers - 3.5m plus 3.5m loan
Hauge - 5m
Kalulu - free
Kjaer - 2m loan with 3.5m buy out
Ibra - free
Rebic - swap with Andre Silva
Theo - 20m

Sold:

Suso - 24m
Piatek - 24m
Silva - swap with Rebic
Paqueta - 21m plus sale %

Sure, the above are not world beaters. But they are targeted, astute signings with the potential for upside. Gives us a decent shot for top 4. Plus I am sure we will definitely still sign a CB and CM at the very least (and potentially a RB and a RW too).

Cant really complain considering it was more than I thought we would do considering Covid and missing out on CL last season. If we get the additional CM, CB, RW and RB we would have massively improved our depth and will have a real shot at top 4.

impressive sales tbh. Marotta could learn a thing or 2.

Yeah, said it another thread that I honestly envy Milan's sales capability. Paqueta was 35m€, Piatek was 35m€ and I think they managed to avoid capital losses on those sales (though it's a bit hard to calculate half-years because I don't know how they amortize the book values). Given the buying prices were so high and how hard the players ended up being disappointments, impressive numbers.

Cant give maldini credit for selling players that have raw talent, while criticizing marotta for failing to sell players who have none.

Probably easier to sell magic beans than sell Vecino and gagliardini tbh

I am critical that we bought them then gave them high wages!
