the truth is that it is a big gamble for Juventus. Pjanić sucks this year, but it's their best midfielder in recent years. Arthur has opinion of talented, but lazy player which loves to party with Neymar and missed a lot of games due to injuries.
Arthur will be unsellable. He will figure in the books as one of the most expensive players - if he flops they couldn't get rid of him for years (maybe only by another shady swap deal).
Last summer they did similar move and get Danilo and in my opinion je is the biggest flop of this year. The guy cannot defend, has very low football iq, gets injury every second match and he is also unsellable due to high contract and inflated valuation. And he has contract till 2024.

I suppose teams still have until the 30th of June to complete their books, right? Didn't see anything about postponing that part.

^^ Not really, UEFA has intervened and relaxed the FFP regulations. You can read the details in my post located in the thread to discuss this: http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?743-Inter-s-Financial-Situation&p=1910810&viewfull=1#post1910810

In other news, Napoli told Milik he either extends or will be put on the market; juBentus are lurking around.

Wonder how much they want for him. A swap with politano + cash would be great. Perfect back up for both lautaro and lukaku

Simone Muratore from Juventus U-23 to Atalanta for 7-8m. Plusvalenza deals have started at Juve.

Reports: Arthur to accept Juve offer
Reports are emanating that Barcelona midfielder Arthur will finally accept an offer to join Juventus, earning ‘three times’ what he currently earns.

The €75m deal, worth an alleged €15m plus Miralem Pjanic, only needs Arthur’s seal of approval to go through.

Now, Calciomercato.com writes Juve’s latest proposal of €5.5m net a season plus bonuses has convinced his representatives.

It would represent a huge pay rise for the Brazilian, with the website claiming it is ‘three times more’ than what Barca are paying him a year.

Calciomercato.it and Mundo Deportivo both agree the exchange is reaching its final stages, with the latter reporting how Arthur has given up on staying at Camp Nou.

Sky: AC Milan have joined the race to sign highly rated San Lorenzo striker Adolfo Gaich ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The Argentine youth national team striker is the latest name to be added to AC Milan management’s list of potential additions to the attack but they are far from alone in courting Gaich. The report specifically mentions that Inter have an interest in signing him too whilst reports elsewhere in the media have linked him with a whole array of other clubs. Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, CSKA Moscow, Atalanta, West Bromwich Albion, KAA Gent and Atletico Mineiro are all also understood to be interested in the player who has a €13.5 million release clause in his contract. This season the 21-year-old has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided a single assist.

The day will come when Juve have no more players to create fictive plusvalenza to pay the other players the high salarys...

CR7 has 1 more year max with them in my opinion. After that his huge salary will be out of the books. Along with the likes of Chielini , Bonuci , Buffon etc.
This is the reason next year is probably the best and last year where we will have a big advantage in mercato vs them (as long as they dont win a CL this year)

Maybe, but knowing Paratici they try to sign someone like Sergio Aguero, Karim Benzema, Coutinho or Neymar, just to show how ambitious they are

Where to next, though? they spent 100 mil euros on him, and if he came on a 4 year contract, the end of next season will mean they need to take a 25 mil euro write down on top of the 60 mil euros gross he makes - they'll need huge plusvalenza to think about it

his signing, tbh, was a bit idiotic. he's not added the quality they were expecting.

15m€ a year?

It's said to be 5.2-5.5m€ per year for Arthur at Juve (depending on the source).

I'm pretty sure Juve will extend CR7's contract with at least one year. If they can afford the salary, of course. He's 35, but there's like zero signs of him being older, on the pitch I mean. They can extend 1 year during next season and the yearly amortized hit will drop from 25m€ to 17m€.

No, he doesn't earn that much. I think you are confusing the reports of "would earn 3x" thing, what he earns in euros at the moment and what Juve has offered. Juve is offering him 5-5.5m€ (depending on the source, just read Palmeri said they offer him 5m€, somewhere else it's said 5.2m€ and somewhere else 5.5m€) net.

Palmeri reports btw that Juve offers him 5m€ and the agent asks for 7m€. :D Arthur has been reluctant to move. The agent has sure found the honey pot, he really knows how this game should be played. Because both teams are desperately trying to get this done before July. The agent can squeeze a lot in this deal. Maybe he can squeeze both clubs, golden handshake from Barca and big salary from Juve.

The accounting shell game drives this deal but would seem Arthur has finally conceded to the move - zero sporting logic but this is the board of corporate clowns we are forced to deal with

The entire concept of reporting salaries net of tax is incredibly dumb

When will the players move? In the new transfer window? Is July only for those players on loan / out of contract?
